Dude this blew my mind, I was playing some old Fatal Fury games, and Wolfgang Krauser speaks English. Perfectly enunciated English. This means that Terry (among others, like Blue Mary) speaks Engrish on purpose. That was a deliberate choice even way back in Fatal Fury Special, from the start.

@@Protomango I didn't know people thought his English was meant to be 'normal' English. All the Southtown characters are meant to be English speakers and the ones that have English lines aren't random. Characters like Terry, Blue Mary, Geese, and King, are purposeful exaggerations/caricatures, and meant to be obviously that to the native JP audience. It's not a coincidence that they are all blonde, it's part of the trope. Krauser's proper English is meant to contrast them, to reinforce his aristocratic theming.

Revently learned this from Broski, "Guy-Zer" is an American English pronunciation, "Gey-Zer" is a British English pronunciation and is common as a loan word.

I really like them making it clear when it's plus. For the most part sf6 does a really good job of letting you know when someone is plus, since the main source of plus frames is dr/burnout and each character usually only has one or two plus moves.

It's supposed to be like bad as in "bad ass" or like the same way it's used in like a "bad boy" Like it's technically fine,but if it reads off wrong to half the people, it's still kinda a shitty localization, since doing a good localization job is more than just translating.

I just learned this as well. That's pretty cool! I guess I didn't notice it before since My character doesn't have many moves with plus frames 💀

@@tylerb1701 Its not consistent for all the cast. Just went and tested it with a bunch of common plus moves in training, some shook some didn't, and some minus moves still did screen shake on block. Maybe it might change with terry's update to be more consistent. not sure if its only specials, or there is some other outlier. ryu solar plexus strike didn't shake, but donkey kick did (even though its minus), zangief chargedHP and headbutt did, but so did stomps which are hella minus. bison fHK and stHP are notoriously plus, but didn't shake, devil's reverse is plus but didn't shake. list goes on; it's not consistent, so maybe let's not all just blindly nod our heads in agreement.

@@grimmestcreaper2212 its not, and if it is its not consistent with all of the cast. Some plus moves dont shake, and some minus moves still shake. Maybe it might change to be consistent with the terry update where every plus move will shake but currently its not.
