People don't understand that dancing evolves, ans that includes salsa. You can be all time doing exactly the same moves or dancing with the same style, that will make the art start to become stagnant and die slowly. Terry has his own style, he has incorporated a lot of different things on his way of dancing and that has made him push forward things. The same can be said about Fernando Sosa, Indacochea, Jorge Ataca, Eddie Torres Jr, Maykel Fonts, Panagiotis Aglamisis and many other good dancers. But obviously this is not for everyone, specially those with a traditional, conservative way of seeing salsa dancing, it can be too complicated or advanced for them and that's when hate comes on.

@@jellyg.8961 Well said about the conservative views on salsa dancing. I hear that from dancers who have been TRAINED and not being CREATIVE. When they see someone who can extend their talents in anything to a new level, a lot of conservatives just downright say no way. Well, to them, they get left behind and the dancers like Terry set the higher standard.

Frankie Martinez is an incredibly talented innovator with a unique style and unique abilities, including extraordinary speed. Compared to him, almost everyone (including Terry) looks like they are trying too hard (it's all relative, of course, but notice the sweat). My impression is that because of his perfect understanding of rhythm and equally perfect control over his body, Frankie is supremely relaxed when he dances socially, and that may look uninteresting to some as he is likely dancing for his own enjoyment and not in order to put on a show. honestly when you have to be this focused with such difficult combinations, you don't have room for styling and body movement. it's too fast and you almost have no time, I can tell you are not a follower but a leader from this comment :)
