Terry Usher was a well known British guitarist of the 1930's, the 'golden age' of the plectrum guitar.

I first played a piece by Terry Usher in the late 1950's when I was about 14 or 15. My guitar teacher then knew him in the 1930's/40's.

High there Rob....Thanks for your comment...much appreciated...I've been following all your recent postings, but they are so good....well....what can I say...!? I had a guitar teacher who knew Terry quite well, but this is from an 'old' Clifford Essex publication...quite a long time ago....

Well-done! What brand of guitar is that?

Thanks. The guitar is a replica of the Epiphone Olympic of about 1936. I took out the original electrics, and installed a KA 'Johnny Smith' style neck PU. I also replaced the original naff bridge with a solid ebony one. It improved things a lot and the guitar has a very decent acoustic sound as well as amplified. The soundboard is formed solid spruce.
