Thanks Terry for a very informative video. Young people entering the profession should see this. You have to be very committed to undertake this career. I know so many solicitor friends who would concur with Terry's story of what a day in the life of a practitioner is. Starting at 6am in the morning seems to be the norm. Terry is so lucky that he is so organized that he can finish at around 5 pm in the evening. I have some solicitor friends who continue to work until as late as 12 md or 2am or as late as 3 am and have to be up for Court in the morning sometimes having to travel hours earlier to Dublin etc. This has to cause enormous stress and an unhealthy lifestyle. Clients do not realize or care what pressure solicitors or the legal profession in general are under. There are the few at the very top end of the scale who are doing very well. But your ordinary country solicitor is struggling. Believe it or not!!! I am not a solicitor but I served in a career where I know their work lives very well. Thanks again Terry for opening discussion on this subject. People need to see this and maybe appreciate and understand what is involved in the life of your local practitioner. When you are in trouble you need them. Most of them don't ripe you off. Give them a little thought!!!

It is a good format, if you are self employed. Or in semi retirement. This is not possible for newly qualified working to build their carers working under guidance...or Litigation solicitors, or corporate lawyers....or employee solicitor...
