I felt sick as I looked back at old pictures of me and my narcissistic ex while deleting them. Pictures of us smiling and doing fun things together, knowing now that it was all just a game. His words, his “I love yous”-none of it was real. He was filled with contempt for me, despite the fact that all I ever did was try to love him. The worst part was knowing he was already replacing me with new supply, future-faking with me while talking to other girls to line up his next source of attention. It was devastating to realize the extent of his manipulation.
