Slight overexposure (+0.3 to +0.7 EV) is often the best choice for modern cameras with good dynamic range (like DJI Pocket 3). It gives you cleaner shadows and flexibility in post-processing while still allowing for highlight recovery. In high-contrast outdoor scenes, slight underexposure (-0.3 to -1.0 EV) is safer to avoid clipping highlights.

This is a lot of truth here! Fantastic camera, but for sure doesn't beat a good interchangeable lens camera. It still is very impressive for what it is, and a lot of the time people can't really tell a huge difference anyways. I have been editing content for my friends channel and he only uses the DJI and wow not bad at all. Keep killing it bro!

awesome, I just picked up a pocket 3 a month or so back and wanted to start shooting some videos, I'm 50 and this stuff is foreign to me, your video was easy for me to follow, I'll be checking out your others so I can setup my pocket 3 and start having some fun with it. It's way different then when I used to film back in the late 80's early 90's.

Too all of you, who have a DJI Pocket 3, don't use D-LogM use HLG, nobody knows the Color space of D-log-m, HGL has a bigger and important, a classified Color space. I work as a Colorist, if u tweak a little bit the HLG, it can look like a bigger Camera, the pocket have like 10,7 stops and my A7iV 13+ stops. D-LogM is harder to color manage, because it have no classified Color space like, sGamut, rec709, Rec2100, Rec2020, DWG and so on.

@Natureboy-w1e D-LogM is 10bit but, in itu-r bt-709, showing in the metadata from the Clips, this Color space is sRGB - Rec709. But with a wider Gamma curve, so you have more dynamic range. That's, why it ist Low contrast in the raw clip. It doesn't matter what Camera you use, all D-LogM is the Same, only the sensor is different, so you have different dynamic range. But the color space is the Same, it's like, (PP11)s-cinetone(rec.709) by Sony, u have more dynamic range, but not as much colors, like S-gamut3. The 10bit only saying u can Store more data 10bit(1 Billion colors possible) 8 Bit(17 million colors possible), but not if it's al Large color space or the standard Rec709. Sorry, I'm German, my English is bad and it would be easy if I would make a video to show it

What is a good setting for low light without setting it to Low Light? All my low light settings are grainy and noise. Daylight I use the ND filters, but low light is wrecking my brain.

Settings in normal picture profile, run and gun, max picture quality. ISO 0-800. Sharpness -2. Noise reduction -1. Exposure -0.3 I find no reason to shoot DLog on this camera.
