Oh, I’m so happy about the Generative Remove tool and the Exported Files Filter for LrClassic. These Two updates will really speed up my workflow and make it more efficient! No more having to create another file with Lr edits, when going from Lr to Ps to remove something more than just spots. What a timely update for me; can’t wait to try it in a few minutes! A BIG THANK YOU!👏👏👏😊

Happy Birthday!. I had a question about what you demonstrated. At about the 11 minute mark when you are showing the adaptive preset for blur, you do a before and after. What key are you using for that? Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Terry for this update. My favorite is the Exported-filter. I’m in the habit of color-coding my exports but always miss a few when working with 1000+ photos from a race shoot. Happy Birthday & many more!

Hi Terry, thanks for the great video. I had 1 question. I used to used Lightroom 5 and had to buy a subscription and I have Lightroom cc and Lightroom classic but what is Lightroom desktop? I have not seen a desktop version for sale or subscription, might have missed it?
@TerryLeeWhite7 ай бұрын
When you go to your Creative Cloud app you’ll see to Lightroom’s that you can install Lightroom (Lr) and Lightroom Classic (LrC). Lr is very similar to Lr on your mobile devices and primary stores your images in the cloud. There is a Mac/Windows version and that’s what I referred to as Lightroom Desktop. Ie. Not mobile or web or LrC.

Loving the subtle file management updates to Lightroom desktop. My import workflow still involves pre-naming and backing up RAW files offline prior to adding them to Lightroom. Hopefully, this will be a native feature like it is in LR Classic.

Thank you Terry for this update video. I was hoping for a long time Adobe would improve the remove tools in LrC. And now they did, great! I don't really like the Lens Blur option, it looks too fake for me. But maybe I need to test it some more. Oh, and enjoy your birthday!

Hey. I discovered the update while playing around with the Lightroom mobile earlier today. I am so glad to have the update! it made my work a whole lot easier. I wish I had waited on working on recent photos till now. Anyways, I enjoyed the video. Thanks for the content and hard work!

Awesome updates Terry, however, the most AWESOMEIST update in this version of LRC is FINALLY the ability to tether with my Canon R6 II. 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks Terry! All the new is great . . . . . . except the 'archive' feature. Just bringing a file down using the manual method is easier than using the archive feature. If files come from a card they should already by archived. If files come from a Lr synced camera, highlight the file(s) click 'Share', choose 'original+settings' and download to a location of choice.
@TerryLeeWhite7 ай бұрын
Use whichever method works best for you.
@jimforbes91197 ай бұрын
@@TerryLeeWhite of course! But I understand that using the "archive" feature does not relieve cloud storage space until you delete those images from the deleted folder.

according to the product manager that is not. the case.

Happy soon to be birthday Terry 🎂🎉🎈Thanks for these updates! I wish there was a way to sync wirelessly to LR for studio photography. Maybe I should try to shoot tethered again, I have done this but it was when I first started photography about 9 years ago. It is annoying when wifi drops and I have to reconnect the wireless connection with the Canon app. I mostly use Adobe Camera Raw to edit and have just stuck with that. Do people use LR more because of the catalogue part?

Is it best to clean up the collections before updating? I’ve been trying to clean up catalog for years and updating Thus my computer (new imac) never seems to respond as fast as your demos (by the way). Thanks for the helpful update!

I updated my Lightroom Classic and immediately noticed the syncing is much better. It was used to always be problematic for me. I also noticed my lrcat file doubled in size after the conversion. Is that normal? Also, where do the AI generated options live? Will they be added to the catalog or a separate file? Seems like it could take up a lot of space quickly, especially if you can't delete the options you don't use like you can in Photoshop. Thanks for your in-depth updates. I always find them very valuable and timely.

Hey Terry, I have been watching you for years. You helped me learn so much about LR and PS. Sad to say, I may be leaving these products due to the recent terms of service. It’s just not right and basically downright theft in my opinion. You have mentioned over years many many times on what is considered “our” work and the ethical means by which we edit images. Isn’t what Adobe is doing really goes against everything you have been teaching us? I hope you have some say in all this and they listen to you, I have a feeling Adobe is about to find themselves very much in a bad spot, if the exodus becomes widespread. Even with their products such as Adobe reader, acrobat, and pdfs, the way they describe the “licensing” would allow them to sell company secrets, when this gets out they are toast.

YOU own your content and always have. Adobe makes no claims of ownership. Expect clarification on this and all the terms in human readable language very soon.
@fabiankeppler3156 ай бұрын
@@TerryLeeWhite Yes, you may own it, however you also give a perpetual license so it can be used, copied, changed,... We don't even own an adobe product anymore we just rent it.
