Tigray is a region not an ethnic grupp. In Tigray there are kunma, Afar , Saho, Amhara, Agew, Oromo etc With in Tigray the kunamas, Afar and Sahao are non speaking Ethio- Tigrinya. The saho (EROB)speaking people who are mix with Agew would identify as EROBETAY/EROBETY. The people of Tigray are mix with different ethnic grupps and there is NO homogenus ethnic grupp which is called Tigraway but those people who live in the region they have only TIGRINYA language in common that is why they are called by their language as Tigre in Amharic /Tegaru in Tigrinya. Kola Tembien (Tigrinya: ቆላ ተምቤን, "Lower Tembien") is one of the woredas in the Tigray Region of Ethiopia .The people of Tembien origin is the Agaw-speaking H̬amta in Abergele north of Wag and they are know for its Awris dancing. Awris is a type of dance originating from Abi Adi and the surrounding Tembien region. It has been described as imitating the movements of a hen and rooster but we also heard a story that it originates from people having to jump from rock to rock in the stony surroundings of this part of the world.
