and its all useless, what is the point in auto pilot if you still have to drive the car, why would it be a feature they would charge for. the point of auto pilot is to make driving easier, not harder, now with the way it is the driver still has to drive for some reason, even though auto pilot is supposed to be many orders of magnitude better, so now teslas with FSD require two drivers...... how stupid

Was possibly some Tesla haters spreading misinformation. I don't think AP can, but is able to read a sign like that right corner coming up? Would be helpful it it could, but in future, possible I guess. As to privacy, if (a big if) I could ever get a EV like Tesla, I would cover that camera.
