Regardless of what you think of the cyber truck, other EV trucks may appear to be better options. The reality is no other EV truck has FSD. None, not even close. That alone negates for me any other option for purchasing any other brand of EV truck. Once you use FSD, you just can’t go back.
@Anonymous-zu7dh12 күн бұрын
Other companies are sensible enough to not call lane assist and speed assist as something as lawsuit in waiting bait as FSD. If US regulators weren't almost entirely toothless they'd have cracked down on the label as misleading. Self driving as a name implies the user doesn't need to pay attention. And there are plenty of videos of users doing just that.

people are too short sighted. Tesla knows what they're doing with pricing. I mean they released a vehicle for double what they announced it as and still sold ~40,000 in 2024. Do you think they just ran the numbers wrong on the first go around? They're taking advantage of the high desire of some folks with the capability to pay that and capturing the high margin. Let's say they sold those 40,000 units for an average of $20,000 over price. That's just shy of 1 billion in extra revenue in one year, and all while they were ramping production. Don't assume you know now more about their business and the car market than they do because you watched some videos on youtube. As that demand falls off, the prices will come down and return closer, but not all the way down, to the launch price, just like we've seen on every one of their other vehicles. When the price hits those lower levels, they will have gained the benefit of learnings from the early production vehicles and the addressable market will be much larger. There is still the looks thing that many will not be able to get over. However, the use case of this truck is as legit as 80% of truck owners ever need. There are going to be some who use trucks for their fullest potential and EV trucks aren't there yet, mostly because of range, but what that 20% doesn't realize is that they are the minority in the truck world.

Cybertruck already served its purpose. Which was the stock price going up. All Elon has to say is "Robotaxi", "Roadster" or "Semi" and the stock price will go up. Elon knew this and used the "Cybertruck" promise for 4 years to keep the stock going until they finally released it. It's predictable. When Tesla stock goes down, he will say "Robotaxi" or something, and his fans will continue to buy the stock. It's a scam that will eventually fall apart. Elon will say "Roadster" for the next 3 years, and we will end up with a flawed unfinished product like the Cybertruck.

@@jacoja06 Ford sold around 750, 000 f150s in 2024. Tesla sold around 40.000 Cybertrucks. That's nearly 20 f150s sold for every 1 Cybertruck.
