California rate 0.69. If you can’t charge at home. This KZbinr SDA Dan Cars has a Tesla. His next car he said might be a Honda Civic hybrid. He has driven the car a few times already and totally loves not having to worry about charging.

Really depend on how you use yor car, I get free charge at work place, and if I need to charge at home during the weekends, I will pay $0.02 per kwt, so for me I almost pay nothing for my Tesla

Prius is way more efficient than a Tesla unless you can charge at home, but even then, it’s roughly equal. The only downside Prius is pretty boring and ugly, it’s about to change in 2023, the 2023 Prius is a pretty cool car.

Pretty sure if you use the states average gas price vs their off peak electricity rate, there’s no competition with the Tesla per mile.

I have a 2022 Prius prime and would like to trade it for a Model 3. However, the more I research, the more I find that my Prius is more efficient. Taking in consideration that I drive a commute of 140 miles 5 days a week, my Prius is the best saving option. Of course, a Model 3 would be faster, more features and better looking, but I don’t think it would take my 36k a year commute well. In 5 years will have more or less 180k miles which a Prius can do with minimum repairs. However, Tesla’s repairs at that mileage it would be very costly. I don’t know, my heart wants a Tesla but my brain is telling me to keep the Prius. 😂

the Tesla range, for that 100% battery charge, is only like 60% of the range 1 tank of gas gets a Prius. So actually you're paying SIGNIFICANTLY more per mile for a Tesla now. What did you expect? It was always a scam, and electric demand went up faster than supply, so the price equilibrium is of course going to skyrocket
@TankTheSpank5 ай бұрын
No it's not. Telsa can only do half the miles of a prius... 500 miles on prius. 250 on telsa.

If you charge at night in NY it’s .03c/kWh but during the day it’s 35c/kWh If you want to compare an electric car must be costing less than 16c/kWh to compare to a Prius That’s a win for Prius Now what do you think about the future will electricity go down or or up, I predict up so time will tell how long the .03c/kWh overnight stays If gas costs let’s say 6.00/g on a Prius *11.9g tank = 71.40 = 678miles 71.40/678= .11c per mile If electricity cost 40c/kWh 75kwh batt * .40= 30.00 30.00/250miles on full charge=12c per mile and this will go up

@@jduran111 bear in mind a Prius insurance is 80/month also meanwhile the cheapest I’ve heard a ev car being insured for was 250/m That’s 170+ a month to own a tesla

@@callistoscali4344 even so, my friend who has a clean record 33yrs old pays 350/month on his tesla for insurance So 4200.00 to drive tesla annually with free electricity Vs Prius 1000/y on insurance 1000/y on gas if you drive 15000mi/y

worst part of Tesla is the range is a lie. you will never get the miles because there is no perfect condition. so say it says 250 miles range.....in reality s 200 miles at .40 = 40usd/200miles......the Prius is 40usd/400miles.

With the RWD Model 3's you can get or exceed the EPA range estimate. The dual motor Tesla's are less efficient.
