What else did they teach you in elementary (k-5 if you're in the US) school? I was in 1st grade in 1993 and didn't learn about this man even in high school (2001-2005)!!!!! My oldest brother (born 1979) didn't learn about him either!! What are they hiding from us?! Given, Tesla was just a generation before you when he died, yes? So, why stop teaching about actual science and knowledge another generation after? These aren't pointed to you, specifically, of course, but to the system that keeps us blind, deaf and du.mb (I can't say du.mb on shittube without my comment being taken down)?

Nikola Tesla was a Renaissance man, a person of many interests, he spoke 8 languages, had a photographic memory, knew Goethe's Faust by heart in German, was a philosopher, poet and essayist. Electromagnetic induction is something we know how to do, actually. It requires a substantial amount of power to do over large distances so it's far less practical than a typical wire. I mean, tesla had to produce a lightning storm to power light bulbs with it. Could you imagine the kind of power needed to induce current for today's electronics over similar distances?

This is a little-known trick using VACUUM-FILLED incandescent bulbs. Nearly all of today's bulbs are full of argon, so it doesn't work. You need a bulb which stays dark when placed on a TC terminal (or when placed inside a microwave oven.) Tesla himself probably used huge incandescent street lights. They'd be full of vacuum, since argon-filled tungsten bulbs weren't invented until fifteen years later. If you put a vacuum-filled light bulb on top of a Tesla coil, the filament will heat up and glow. No visible plasma (but yes, a bit of x-ray output!) Try it with one of those 120V unfrosted 7-watt "golf-ball" lamps, or use an exit-sign bulb, or an aquarium bulb. Those have vacuum inside, no argon. Even a little "violet wand" Tesla coil will make a 7-watt sphere-bulb glow slightly red. The filament is heated by ion-collision. But if the bulb contains argon, the ions cannot speed up (not like they do with 30 millitorr vacuum.) Tesla's actual experiment was supposedly carried out 26 miles away from the transmitter. This would have been at the first anti-node of a worldwide standing wave, one-half wavelength away from the transmitter. If this really happened, then a fluorescent tube would also start glowing at that location, and if you stuck a long metal rod in the ground, you might see a small violet plasma-flame at the tip. (Or with much lower kilowatts, solder a bunch of NE-2 neon bulbs at the top of a metal staff, then jam the base of the staff into damp earth.) Heh, go out into the Indian Ocean, diametrically opposite to the location of your Tesla coil. That way you'll always be in the max. antinode, regardless of which Earth-mode your coil is driving. Float some incandescent bulbs in the salt water, see if you can light them from the other side of the planet.

@@wbeaty If its a generic bulb of the time it'd have a filament, if it was Tesla's on special bulb there would be nothing in it, not even any sort of gas
@wbeaty
@wbeaty 2 жыл бұрын
@@bobdole27 With a big Tesla coil, actually try it. Or just use a microwave oven. Use an aquarium bulb, or other incandescent bulb which lacks argon. (Those large fake "Edison vintage" bulbs with the fake carbon filament, those do contain vacuum. But a perfect vacuum won't work either, instead you need a "dark discharge," lots of electrons but no glowing plasma. Most vacuum-filled bulbs will have the right amount of trace-gas.) But notice that the filament glows BUT ALSO the iron filament-supports glow. The glass may crack, where the white-hot iron parts go through the glass. With a giant Tesla coil, just ground the metal base of your bulb, then hold it in the coil's invisible voltage-field. Far more impressive than just lighting up a fluorescent tube.
