I'd rather just keep my Prius.. $80 a year for tags. Pull the insurance when you're not using it.. The math barely works in favor of the electric car for my use case anyway. I drive 50,000 miles per year, a new model 3 vs a new Prius my break-even point is 6 years best case.. Not really the best financial choice. the Prius is not in the same category as a model 3 there is no doubt but the Prius has more room in the back and more storage and rides more comfortably and doesn't have a weird-ass interior.. I just really really dislike the minimalist interior on a Model 3. To me it comes off cheap and unfinished. I like the Model S more.. Superchargers V3 might be one solution (faster + no charger sharing), another is either expansion or another location a few kilometres/miles down the road, like in Norway, where Tesla was adding to Gol (8 stalls) also Gol-West (16 stalls). Last time I arrived at a Supercharging station, it took 36 minutes to charge my Model 3 up from 12% to 95%. You don't normally charge to 100%, but only enough to get to your next destination plus a little. As the battery gets full, the charging speed slows down to protect the battery (they are designed to outlast the car). I only needed to be above 25% to get home where I can charge in my garage, and that would have taken like 5 minutes at the Supercharger. But I had to use the bathroom and a meal and the car was at 95% when I finished. And this is on a V2 Supercharger. And if they are going to a destination far away you only need to either top up enough to get to another charger (+a 20-50 mile buffer for unforseen events like a broken charger, a route with a lot of steep hills or bad weather) along the route or charge to only 80%-90% as the last 10%-20% takes about as long as charging from 0%-80%. The Laws Of Physics still apply even to Mr Musk. Watts = Volts x Amps. therefore Amps = Watts/Volts. In the US that means a Tesla Charging Station to deliver 150 kW of charge in a domestic situation needs a system that can deliver 1350 Amps (150000/110) . In a 3 phase system operating at 480 volts to deliver 150 kW you will require 180 Amps So to operate a 100 car charging system, charging two cars at each station (50 stations), requires 50 x 180 amps = 9000 amps. You might need a serious network upgrade to deliver that amount of electricity.

The grid supplying that mega pack must have the capacity to supply that amount of electricity. Of course there are transformers there.
