TESLA FSD 12.5.1.3 First Drive

A great deal of improvement from 12.3.6 to 12.5.1.3. FSD has gained my trust: safe, reliable, smooth, plans ahead and assertive. In my, area biggest problems are with the navigation map errors.

I'm wondering whether the height of the seat and your posture affects the eye tracking. You mentioned adjusting yourself and being aware where the eye tracking camera was. I test drove a M3 this past Sunday and I got locked out of FSD during the test drive due to too many warnings. It was all new so I was probably looking around too much (being amazed) and I think I glanced down at the touchscreen to see the warning when it beeped. I placed an order yesterday for my M3 by the way - super excited!

@@chrisg2994 When you start daily driving it, you won't have any issues, my camera is blocking the line of sight for the dash cam but I have no issues at all when I put that away

Until it can backup it won’t be fully autonomous. It is quite amazing now and I’m using 12.5.1.3 daily. One day it got into a position that required a takeover because it could not go any further forward.

Watch with great interest , I have FSD 12.5.1.3 as you, on my MY, however I am having issues with FSD maintaining posted speed limit. My MY constantly drive at speeds up to 10 m/hr below the posted speed. Interested to know if any of your viewers are having the same issue.

@@tsblack2583 automatic speed offset setting, try turning it off and see if it makes any difference

I’m a three month owner of a model Y and I super like it but I just took a 1600 mile road trip with FSD in the US and two things I noticed. One, the cabin noises way more than my Mercedes was. Two, the ride was bumpy. Is the model S better at these two things?

Yes the Model S is MUCH smoother and quieter

Yes, Model S has air suspension and no as such noises from the cabin

I have a HW4 M3P that I took delivery on 8/7. It came with 12.3.6 but says I have the most current software. I have my update settings at “advanced” and even called customer support, and they insisted that I have the most up to date version. According to Tesla, any version above 12.3.6 is released to a handful of “testers” for evaluation. Do you concur, or am I missing something here?

@@OrdainedPrepper not sure, it's mat be just the usage, I do 95% of my driving on FSD may they are pushing it out more frequently as i am reviewing and sending them feedback too

@@asadalvi7 I’ve been using FSD almost all of the time since taking delivery on 8/7. The Tesla rep did say that 80% of all HW4 vehicles are still on 12.3.6 …. 😦

Odd, you should be getting 12.5.1.3. I have that on my HW4 MY now. At one point I remember reading that 12.5 was only going to MY cars but that was a while back. Thought that 12.5.1.1 was going to a wide release. Keep checking, update should pop. Good luck!

@@bubbaqjacklet’s hope so. Tesla rep checked and said that they are releasing the 12.5 stack in batches and by VIN, whatever that means. It is so frustrating to have that steering nag. Honestly, when did 12.3.6 come out? 6,000 years ago? 😂
