I agree the FDS version 12 is Amazing! I have a multi lane round about in Kingston, Ontario and I went around it today in FSD with ZERO issues!!!!

Try FSD in busy cities like Toronto or Ottawa. Maybe at night or in the rain? FSD still has issues, and needs frequent human intervention.

I drive in Toronto every day, it seems consistent in most locations with few interventions. And most interventions on V11 was to not impede other drivers like the ridiculously slow stop signs.

98% is more capable that most drivers on the road. I don't need it to be 100%, it's a driver assistance. If it works flawlessly 98% of the time and I need to take over or supervise for that last 2% then that is 98% of my drive that I don't really need to worry about. I drive 160 km daily, since this update i've had 4 days with no interventions (and yes that is to Toronto)

@@northerntesla "Low interventions" means that FSD cannot be trusted with your life. Human supervision is needed at all times. That is not what Full Self Driving is supposed to be.

Is it useable in winter with snow on the ground?

V11 was somewhat usable in winter. If the road was completely snow covered it would still work. Where it ran into problems was when there's snow but tire tracks for lanes, sometimes the camera would get confused with the white snow lines thinking they were white lane markings. And then more problems when actually snowing with cameras being obscured. We'll have to wait and see for V12 in the winter.

I am left wondering about a little legal something that's been on my inquisitive mind. Who is liable when a driverless car crashes? Will there be any type of disclaimer on a purchase contract for a self driving vehicle that removes any liability for the manufacturer if a software failure results in an at fault accident? Semi-autonomous vehicles and autonomous test vehicles are involved in about twice as many accidents per million miles as human-driven vehicles There have been accidents from Tesla and Uber, which have resulted in fatal accidents on public roads. Research concludes that product liability will be the major issue in terms of insurance issues and the manufacturer should be held liable for product failure unless other evidence favours the manufacturer. I wonder how Tesla addresses this potential product liability minefield? Another question not many will think to ask - How many lawyers will buy an autonomous vehicle?

0:55 except that indicators are completely broken for roundabouts. It nearly never uses the right indicator to leave the roundabouts.

At 0:46 when entering the roundabout, FSD should have waited because that other car had right of way. At 1:42 , a long hesitation at the Stop sign At 4:01 , FSD makes mistake in the roundabout, human must intervene. At 4:53 , human takes over because of odd, erratic behavior in the parking Lot.

at 0:46 - FSD slowed down enough to realize the other vehicle was proceeding straight at 1:42 - you can't see from this video but there are trees on either side so you can't clearly see oncoming traffic until you are into the road, it needs to creep before it proceeds at 4:01 - correct, only mistake on this drive at 4:53 - since' this a brand new update, it's not understood yet what the relationship between FSD and Autopark, it seems on this first attempt FSD must be off to enable Autopark. Further testing required.

@@northerntesla FSD is in beta for almost *FOUR* *YEARS* and it still cannot do basic things: park at the end of a trip, avoid glass in the roadway, consistently slow down for speed bumps, obey the posted speed limits. The list goes on and on.

@@DerekDavis213the goal of FSD isn’t to drive perfectly, it’s to drive better than the average human. Everything you mentioned, human drivers suck at too. FSD > average human ability. You sir, sound like you are below average human ability.
