Tesla Model 3 Y - PAIR Playstation or Xbox WIRELESS Controller

Hi! I wanted to note that newest Xbox Series X/S Wireless Controller is not compatible with Model 3/Y and newer S/X due to it has BLE. But it can be used wired though. You used previous generation of Xbox controller so you could connect it via Bluetooth. Playstation 5 DualSense works via BT with no problems.

Hi, doesn’t work for me via cable. I’ve got TM3 2023 with usbc. Have you got usbc as well? Maybe it needs specific cable

@@keysiyorkshire Hi. I think your car has USB-C ports in center console without data communication. All Model 3/Ys starting approx Q1-Q2 2023 do not have communication via USB-C ports, you can use them only to charge your devices. The only USB port with data communication is located in glovebox (USB-A).

Yeah indeed, I checked it with USB A in the glove box and worked so I already ordered USB hub. Also I'll test it with 8bitdo adapter

You show a Xbox Series S/X controller at 00:11 seconds but you pair a Xbox One controller. This could be confusing for being because the Series S/X controllers don't pair but the One controllers do.

I purchased the 8bitdo to use with my xbox elite series 2 controller but it does not work completely the buttons are wonky. Why? Actually I use my wire connection with the controller flawlessly. I play fortnite via luna with the full screen browser. Connecting it to bluetooth via the 8bitdo in the glovebox allows me to play but the controller buttons and joysticks/dpad are wonky. I am anxious to get it working completely because ik it is possible.

Anyone know how to use the pc Xbox controller? The one that comes with the dongle?

Hey, I’m not 100% sure, but you should be able to plug the dongle into the car if you have a USB type C adapter

Series x xbox controller doesn't work via bluetooth or usb. 2023 Model 3. Bummer. Even tried an older Amazon controller - no go. Neither one are discoverable.

Fact: The XBOX ONE controller that has the 3rd button in the middle will NOT WORK, period.

Update: I just tried a usb c cable and the 3 button Xbox controller did work.

@@michaelibarra3889 Yes, with a USB cable. But I'm using the latest PS5 controller now, and it's much better than Xbox, with more seamless connections.
