This is not a complaint, just an observation…. The £1000 off link does indeed give you £1000 off the list price off whatever you spec the car to be, providing you buy it on PCP, or HP (not sure about the Contract Hire…) But… if you can afford it and can pay cash 💰 then it looks like the £1000 becomes £2000 😮 happy to be corrected😊

Campmode tip…. Tesla Camp Mode Additional car setup changes I made in addition to campmode Create a new local driver profile call it campmode. Adjust seat for best mattress fitment so boot closes and gives good head space, you do have to manually adjust passenger seat but at least you have a reference point for each time you setup Turned off sentry altogether while parked, I know camp mode turns this off when in use but didn’t need it while camping either. Turned off auto lights, ambient lights, stearing wheel lights, turned screen brightness down, turned off lock sound. All within the local profile. Hopefully Tesla will add these into a software update to camp mode.

lol😂 just take a tent or book into hotel / b and b. Not very practical especially if set up and you want to pop out or you have a lot of gear let alone moving kit in and out of the car. But far enough in an emergency or if it’s your thing enjoy. We’ve got back after a weeks camping in Normandy witch was a wee bit wet but enjoyed it nevertheless. With the rangy we fitted everything in and tons of space to spare, also the tail gait is amazing being able to picnic of the back is fun and comfortable, not many other cars you can do that. The point a big benefit of a tent it gives you a more permanent structure/ base especially if staying more than one night or have gear in wet weather. Charging tech, several options some campsites have pitch power, or use a power bank or the car, the rangy has loads of power options like in the boot for the fridge. The other key benefit is being close to nature with minimal isolation, not every one cup of tea. But horses for courses

17:56 whenever i sleep in my tesla, i just put it on screen clean mode after turning on camp mode so i don't have to wait for it to black by itself, alternatively theres covers for the screen that you can buy that you put over the screen, kinda like a glove to achieve a blacked out effect.

Hey Caleb, yeah that’s a great tip. Didn’t think of doing that so might try that next time.
@calebmcclure38933 күн бұрын
@@MBrown Thought i'd give you another useful tip i've used when camping in my Tesla that might come in handy one day. Camp mode will only stay on till the battery reaches 20%, after that it won't engage. To somewhat override this, you can start any game in tesla arcade, turn the volume all the way down, then minimise the game and set your climate control on. As long as that game is active (even when minimised) the climate control will stay on. And you can ofcourse still activate screen clean mode to black out the screen (even with the game minimised). The only Major downside to this trick is the climate will stay on UNTIL YOU TURN IT OFF. Had a close call once where i fell asleep with 10% charge, and woke up with 1% charge left 😂😂😂 luckily there was a charger near by.

You can lock the car. The benefit of camp mode is it disables interior and movement sensors.
@MBrown4 күн бұрын
Hey so it’s partially true, if you lock the car using your app the doors can still be opened from the outside as technically your car sees the phone is close by. So what you need to do is lock the car using the lock button on the screen rather than your app and this resolves that issue

Great question, just got back from a 5 week European road trip in my model 3 2024 and this was my main issue when sleeping in the car. I haven’t seen anyone else talk about it. From the outside you are hardly hear anything (I got out the car a few times to check at different locations) but on the inside (when you have the fan on level 1-2 speed, anything over 2 is noisy) I find that there is a low noise that changes pitch after a minute or so. It must be the heat pump kicking in that was disturbing me. I think it happens more when the outside temperature is higher than the required inside temperature, which was mostly the case for me in August in France and Spain.After a few nights I started wearing earplugs and that worked for me. I don’t normally wear earplugs to sleep but found it comfortable quite quickly.

@TheKnightsShield4 күн бұрын
@@MBrown It sure is!! How people manage to live in such a small space is quite interesting in itself. There are some really good benefits to having such a small home on wheels though, parking, for instance, is soo much easier with a car than with an extended long wheelbase van. Heating is another benefit. Having such a small vehicle means that it takes far less to heat, or cool the interior space, something those with larger vans have to contend with every year. Although, an inportant thing to bare in mind, is that while using such a small vehicle as a place to eat and sleep, you're not spending all of your time IN the vehicle, even when cooking, as that can be done with a portable stove either around the vehicle, or up a mountain. 😀 I've been thinking quite seriously about starting van life when I can finally afford it. I'm thinking of gettting a small electric van, so that I can park wherever I like, within reason, of course. No trouble parking for me!! Hope you do more stuff like this as it's quite entertaining and can be a useful way of saving yourself some money while travelling. 😉😀
