First time viewer You are very good. I had stopped watching these instructional videos after delivery of my model s 2021 last Nov. Then this past 2/16/22 had a horrific accident with my tesla with only 1337miles 81 yr old women cut me off car total loss. Officers at scene were amazed l walked away. Ordered another s and now doing the waiting game again . Finding your videos to pass the time helps. Keep up your good stuff much appreciation. JK

@@evhelphub I am in Toronto Canada, hence keeping the 19" wheel for winter use (replacing whatever tire they provide during the delivery to winter tire of cos when winter comes) then getting custom forged rims and tires for spring summer. Also i got the cream interior, with FSD hopefully i can try out the beta for myself to experience the pros and cons of it.

When Tesla rolled out the blindspot-camera when blinking feature I thought they'd display the video in the driver display. They sadly didn't .

My Red Plaid is currently scheduled to come between May 23 and June 29. Question: are you going to do PPF and/or Ceramic coating to protect the paint from scratches and rock chips? (I’m in Calgary and it’s notoriously bad for rock chips here….) Thanks in advance and very nice relaxing style without all the “Tech Specs”. Just practical anectodal style. Thank you

Yoke is horrible....I dont care what people say its a bad design. Its ok driving relatively straight but in paking lots or anytime making lot of turns its not good. The horn is terrible too.

Not sure if you mentioned it or I caught it but, how is the leg room in both in front and back? Trying to see if going from the X to an S is viable. I have kids but they fit fine in my other car which is a model 3. Thanks!

I have absolutely no problem with either head room or leg room in the front or rear. If you are taller, your knees will be a bit higher than a typical car in the rear with a little less support, but if you are under 6 foot in the back should be no problem. The front is very spacious and we love being able to stretch out a bit!

I think Tesla needs to do a better job of making sure those changes are visible and known. Especially those that detract from the vehicle such as removing passenger lumbar support.

in my experience and insignificant opinion... i would suggest you skip out on the fixes that aren't really that big of an issue. when i received my model S, i was really picky with a lot of things. i took it to the service center and they "fixed" the issue, but in exchange for damaging something else. for example: i took it in to fix my passenger door that needed more force to close than normal... when I got the car back, they ended up messing up the door seals and now my once quiet cabin leaks wind noise at 65 mph. I would keep your rear window panel, mine is distorted too... if they replace it, just keep in mind it will probably have the same issue or even worse they mess up your seals. i've learned my lesson on being super picky with tesla. perhaps its just the service center i took it to here in LA, but man, they sure messed up my car. btw, how is the ride on the 19"s. i have the 21" arachnids and I am really curious to know if the your ride is really smooth and cushiony. with my 21s the ride quality is great, but on perfect roads... on semi bad roads you can feel everything.

Sorry to hear about all of that, Dan. I appreciate your comment and hearing about your experience. Most of the issues aren't a huge deal and I have heard of stories like this before. I'll give it a second thought. The 19s are fine. The Plaid I drove had aftermarket 20s. Those were more harsh but not by much. You still feel the road quite a bit I wouldn't consider them cushy by any means. The air suspension helps alleviate a lot of the more bumpy roads around here though.

I had to take 21’s or the delivery date would slip. For Plaid it makes sense only if you’re going to get the upgraded ceramic brakes. Else 19’s are far more affordable and if you’re in town you can take off the aero wheel caps and save them for longer road trips.

@@evhelphub thank you for your replay and personal opinion. I tested the model S (twice) and I shared some of your thoughts. Overall nice,fun car. Worth 40k over upgrading my M3P. Absolutely not. Since the recent price changes I am now in the dilema of upgrading my ‘20 M3P to either a ‘23 M3P or ‘23MYP. Only 1k difference between the two and I keep going back and forth on which way to go! Hi Cedric - That's a difficult question to answer. From what I experienced and from what I have read/watched, it doesn't appear that the active road noise reduction has ever been perceptible enough for anyone to be able to tell. It may be that Tesla is tuning the feature in the background which may activate or deactivate it's functionality randomly. The bottom line is that it isn't a usable or functional feature on the vehicle right now.

That yoke is an absolute deal breaker for me and the horizontal screen has ruined the sleek lines of the interior. Tesla should offer the option of a vertical screen.

Thank you for the comment, Nick! The yoke has been no big deal so far. It's not additive but it doesn't take away from the vehicle either, in my opinion. The horizontal display I have to disagree with you on. It is much more usable now and easier to see. I'm glad they switched orientations. Have you had a chance to drive the new model s yet?

I've had no problem with the yoke but I can see how it's not for everyone. I can understand that it's a concern on a car at the price point without being able to try it. I was used to it within 5 minutes and for now, I prefer it. Admittedly, it's been a short time. I prefer options. If the yoke was an option I would have gone for it. But I like to try new things. I think it's much better for auto pilot. It's just more comfortable. I just got a loaner Model S (an older version) with the vertical screen. I prefer the horizontal. Wouldn't it be great to be cable to turn it either way?

I did nothing to it, the red shines vibrantly in direct sunlight that's all. I love the color personally.

I changed mine to blue and 19's. Says will be here between June 12-July 28th. Tire price, and ride quality on Calgary/Roads was a factor. Might consider the NTI adjustable lowering links for some control over upper and lower right height limits for summer/winter. (If I go with 21's or 20's later it will be only if the 19's aren't satisfying in the corners. (19's are much more affordable and can have a second set for winter months (Nov-April)
