Now that Tesla offers the round steering wheel option for the New 2023 Model S & X and a retrofit for 2021 & 2022 Models I'm curious to know how much of the display to the right might be covered up by the top portion of the steering wheel when installed? I definitely like the unobstructed view of the DIC in front of the driver and the whole top half of the center screen while using the yoke but at what cost to safety? I believe the round wheel would be the safer choice and one that we all know how to use, but I'm finding it difficult to decide between the safety in which the round wheel provides and the openness while using the yoke. Decisions, decisions... Your opinion please! Since you have the yoke would you consider switching to a round steering wheel? Thank you

Wow, I didn’t know that they were starting to offer that out for new cars, let alone the retrofit for the older ones. That’s great I may have to consider that. It is a really hard decision, trying to think about how I would make it if I were you. I think if you’re the type of driver that likes to rest your arm on top of the steering wheel, I do enjoy that myself. And you like to do hard corners and adjustments kind of like you’re driving a sports car more than a cruiser. I would go for the round steering wheel. If you’re comfortable, Kleiner, relaxing, usually drive the speed limit or below the speed limit Like to relax and take your time to get to spots. I think you’ll be very happy with the joke, it’ll just take you a month or so to get used to it. Not sure if that helps, but that may be some thing that makes the decision a little bit easier for you. Let me know what you decide, I’m curious.

@@pucaslife Well I think I just might order it with the yoke because.if I'm unhappy with it I can always pay the $700 Tesla's asking for the retrofit and have them install the round wheel. I heard from my Tesla SA, he said the may offer the retrofit yoke to people who ordered the round wheel but it's not available yet on Tesla's website. Thanks for your insight!

Love your videos, I’ve learned a lot while waiting for my Model S. What’s the most highway mileage you’ve gotten on a charge? Can it actually get 405 miles with the standard wheels highway driving? I know you have the bigger wheels so the range varies. Outside of California the Superchargers are pretty spread out.

You can get close but it’s pretty much impossible to get the full 405

Yeah it’s really difficult to actually get 405 miles, I don’t even know if that’s possible. I heard with the standard wheels and tires you can get close, but not quite there. I have the performance wheels and tires to the best I’ve ever seen is 376 miles.

Is there a blind spot indicator (light) on the side mirrors?
@pucaslife
@pucaslife 2 жыл бұрын
There is in the main screen above the yoke, it shows you all cars in front, sides or rear. So if there is a car on your side, before you move into that lane, it highlights the car in red. It's very noticeable.
