Indeed! All three cars with petrol motors have a great sound. Each one also has its own special character and each of them causes great emotions when driving it. When I once drove a Tesla S, it was like riding a vacuum cleaner with the sound of a mixer. In combination with the bad quality and bad taste interior there were no emotions at all, except for the wish to get out of this thing and get in a real car again. And regarding the "speed", please test all four cars on a real track with curves, cause going a quarter of a mile straight does say nothing about the capabilities of a sporty car. Let alone that the Tesla can only provide full throttle for 20 seconds and then the electronic will start reducing the power to prevent the battery from overheating, while all the other cars will keep on going. Tesla is crap and everybody who is into cars knows this!

Agent Paterson definitely. In my experience the quad roll out gives more lag at launch due to torque loss at such low rpms, but really gets moving once it hits about 45 ish. In a longer stretch it may have won after warming up and such, but parity wasn’t reached here to even overtake.

I had the same problem with my M5 Competition after running Launch Control on slippery conditions when all 4 wheels lost traction. System just lost its calibration and started launching the car slower than even without launch control like it wanted to adapt to slippery conditions. To solve it I turned off the engine waited a couple of minutes started it again. System re-calibrated and Launch Control started to work properly. Car again was accelerating so hard that it hurts ;) @Carwow - when you will have again such a problem with the M5 Competition Launch Control just turn of the engine off wait a little while and run it again. It should help and solve the issue! :)

It can struggle for some childhood problems as all brand new models do. Probably some software update will solve the issue completely :)

Greyson Knox You want to talk quality? Tesla have basic issues like, not getting the trim aligned, water pouring into the cabin AND air slipping into the cabin and that’s just a small bunch. Mercedes cars have average reliability. Meaning it’s not great or poor. Simply because some models are stronger than others. Ex: is the E Class. C&D gave it 4.5/5 for reliability and I own an E class. So yeah, I would know.

It's because it has regenerative braking + regular brake calipers. Most daily driving you hardly need to use the brake, the car can come to almost a complete stop (barely a creep) at a light and you just tap the brake to stop it. Brake-life will literally outlive the vehicle.

Several breaking attempts like that and the brakes might fade at least a little bit. It still weights about 2,5 tons...don't get me wrong, it's impressive for a car such as that, but you can't beat physics.

when it was at service, the guys over there said that some vehicles used the brake so little that the hadnt passed their heat cycles, u need to have heat cycles in the breaks for them to work properly.
