@@SpawnPoiint Thanks again, great to see!! Can't justify a car as large as a Tesla here in Guernsey, but if I was in the UK it'd be top of my list. The boot of the 3 would annoy me, but the Y looks perfect. Enjoying your clear informative videos. I am presently driving an AudiA3 sport back cod variant. Always been a petrolhead since my 1st car (MGA) followed by numerous sports cars and some more mundane Mondeo’s ! Love German engineering and hope that my next car is a Berlin made model Y as I’ve a big dog and two grandchildren to accommodate ! I test drove an Audi Q4 etron and found it rather uninspiring and sluggish which sadly left me disappointed but then I drove a Tesla model III performance and it blew me away. Just took me back to my younger days! Agreed it’s not a supple tuned sports beast but I’ve not had such zippy acceleration since a Porsche 911 so I am now counting the looooong days until Elon’s clever concept finally arrives in the U.K. :) Cheers.

Hello mate. Got mine on order. A few questions for you if you don’t mind 1. What realistic range do you get from the car if you’re heavy on the pedal ? 2. How easy is it to control music. I.e looking for a specific track whilst driving. Does it mean taking your eyes of the road for a significant time? 3. How well do the auto wipers and headlamps work ? Thanks
@SpawnPoiint4 жыл бұрын
Awesome news! If you’re heavy footed, you’ll see 100 miles range, otherwise 250 for normal and 320 for ultimate efficiency. Music is fiddly, I just use voice controls for songs/playlists/radio stations, then the steering wheel for the volume. Auto wipers and lights never had a problem, they work great for me. Add some RainX to the glass and you’ll never use the wipers anyway. Lights are incredible.
@nippychops4 жыл бұрын
SpawnPoiint thanks mate. When you say 250 for normal is that literally driving it 70 mph ? The music controls do look fiddly. I just hope I can easily adjust to them coming from cars that have always had heads up displays

Another no-nonsense fact-filled and informative video..... its been a long wait! Driver profiles; you mention it saves the seat positions, showing the passenger seat adjustment, so , are you saying that the passenger seat is linked to specific driver profiles as well as the driver's seat? If two people with the app are walking towards the car then whose profile will the car set to? SOS button ; you say it calls the emergency services..... who is the emergency service? is it the same as dialling 999 on a telephone? Door locking/unlocking; can this be done with a voice command? Headlights; if there is no control on the stalk, then how do you switch to beam/dip? Valet mode; an obvious necessity, but can the top speed or acceleration be curtailed to stop the car being abused performance-wise? Not having a ski hatch is a bummer..... I use mine regularly for carrying long items without compromising the safety integrity of other items stowed in the boot. I read recently that the rear doors don't pop-open when you press the open button like the front doors do, can you confirm whether this is the case?
@SpawnPoiint4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it David. The passenger seats are not linked, I was just showing that seat in the example (lighting was better). If two people walk up to the car, it's whichever phone connects first via Bluetooth, or the last profile that was used. SOS - Yes I'd assume 999 as opposed to 101. Doors - I've not tested this yet. Headlights - You can put your full beam on, by pulling the left stalk. You just can't turn your dipped lights on/off with it. Valet - Yes you can limit the top speed, you could also put it into 'Chill' mode to limit how responsive it is. Rear doors - I have sat in the back, and from memory the doors to pop open.

Question: you and your significant other are both “stored drivers” with their own preferences. You both walk up to the car to go somewhere, can it tell who is driving the car and memory preset the seat/mirrors?

Unfortunately it's a gamble when we both walk up to it. So sometimes it selects me, and sometimes my wife. It usually defaults to the last person who drove it though, so if we're together all day, and I drive first, it'll default to me the rest of the day (if we both walk up to it).

@@SpawnPoiint it would make sence to be the usb A port since thats what a flash drive is, although i bought an endurance sd card and reader
