I think you could put a magnet on that bolt where the washer goes and leave that bolt in after loosening it to keep the washer there.

Imo the washer is connected to the mirror via some very shitty glue so when the mirror is pulled out that washer gets stripped off. Horrible design, sometimes it’s only on one side

Was thinking about taking off my door panel cuz a guy put a business card on my driver window (advertising something) and me without thinking opened the door and the business card fell INSIDE the door. However, after watching this, I think it shall remain inside my door for eternity cuz I don’t have these tools (pry tool, pick tool, sockets etc). Maybe one day if I need a service visit for a speaker or something😅

Thanks for the video. I’ll also thinking about fixing my the creaking myself. When you place the panel back on how is the fit? I noticed whenever the service center removed a panel and replaced it, the panel always feels more loose

There’s no getting around that. It’s all plastic fittings so they’re at their tightest in the beginning and then once removed aren’t as snug

I see. Soo would the only way to be to get a new panel? For example they removed my a pillar. Could I just get a replacement trim? Or would that only be half the equation?

u could buy the plastic retainers swap all of them and good to go they are considered one time use

I did this and it was amazing, but now my new part isn’t folding or the mirrors are adjustable. It’s like there is no power to it. Is there a way to make this work?

@@GdayFraz I thought so too. I did a hard reset in the Tesla and it still doesn’t respond. Would there be a mismatch if it is a different version? I assumed they would all be compatible. Any other suggestions?

⁠where did you buy the part? Might be a lot of work but you could try and remove the working mirror and plug it into the non working side and do a “test fold”, that way you’ll know if it’s the connector or the part

It’s a T27. Not a 25. If you use a t25 you will strip out the bolts
