Tesla Model X Door Panel and Side View Mirror Removal (using airbag)

Replaced the passenger side mirror on my Model X today. The inflatable air wedge was extremely useful although in my case, some clips still broke, which is mostly a Tesla issue on the quality of parts they use. Although video could be better, it was good enough to follow and get the job done. Thanks for posting it.

Great video. Very easy to follow. Have you replaced the door actuator? That is my next project and I believe I’ll need to remove the door

Same here. The soft-closing actuator failed recently. Any experience to share here? ( ordering the actuator from Tesla is easy )

@@dereklok369you know it was something weird with my door. It didn’t unlock the mechanism all the way. Ended up pulling the door handle all the way and it released the mechanism. I think I will eventually need to replace it. Let’s see. The X does NOT like to get hot. I notice whenever it’s a hot day the falcon wing door won’t open all the way. And when i park on a hill, the door doesn’t like to pop open. Early model X issues.

that wedge pump thing your using is for taking washroom mirrors off the wall when they are glued on.

I’ve seen it used for a lot of things. Locksmiths use it as well

My drivers for window roll up and down slow and really tight, i can see the rubber streaks on my tint. What do you recommend?

Take off the mirror, roll window all the way up and then reinstall mirror. Sounds like something isn’t aligned

You need to watch your videos before you post them. When you're showing us how the clip is shaped, your hand was out of the picture.
