I installed the screen today. One thing I'll add that's not mentioned in the video is if the screen doesn't come back on after plugging it in (like it did with me) reset the screen by holding both buttons on the steering wheel for 30 seconds. The screen should come back on then. Also the temperature motor was never unplugged but it has to be installed to the bottom of the new mount. The mount comes with a plastic plate piece that it screws into and clips to the bottom of the new mount.

Just installed the gen 1 version of this kit, this video helped a lot since the instructiins that came with the kit were not super clear. Overall easy install maybe 2 out of 5 difficulty, looks and works great!

Nice clear and easy to follow description of this procedure. I haven't seen a better one. Also, it is always a relief to find ANY KZbin video which is not cluttered with 'music' and the presenter trying to put on a tedious 'comedy' or ego show that should only drive away viewers (does me) and cost them likes. Hint: rather than the included 10 mm open-end wrench a 10 mm socket, 3" extension, and a ratchet if you have those will do an easier R&R of the bolts.

Can you explain how to get second screw lined up to at 30 degrees to installed the final the last screw. I am having a very difficult time lining the up the final bolt to screw in? THANKS

Requires light screw just fiddle with it but carful not to strip it. If still don’t work try taking off screen and screw it on tight so it becomes less strip and try again

Yes I use it daily as I use the JOWUA MagSafe often and move it back and forth and it’s holding up well.

The tension screw keep getting loose my screen will hold still. Is there a way to tighten the screw without removing the screen?

Got this swivel mount today and installed it right away. Thank you for making this detailed video. My only issue is the cover plate not flush all around. If I try to fix one side then the other side sticks out. Any solution to this? MLR22

It comes with the extra long plastic piece story to stick it between metal bracket the under the cover

The face cover doesn’t fit with 2023 model y. It could not clip in and giving a gap that show the top clips

The face cover you mention are you referring to the “rear cover display” or the “dash cover” this video talks about. I just got the kit and have a 2023 Model Y. I’m just trying to figure what doesn’t work so I can confirm on mine
