One time I rented a Model 3 long range new from Hertz. Drove that car from Texas to California. barely would give me 240 mile range per charge. I was charging every 200 miles vs the 340+ range it promised. I have an i4 and it's sooo much more accurate on the 300 mile range BMW promises than Teslas will ever be. That to me itself is sickening fraud.

FYI - The odometer issue is that multiple newer owners are reporting inaccurate odometer readings. For example, they drive 1 mile and it shows up as 1.6 miles. This has MAJOR implications for lease deals since they have a mileage component. It also impacts you warranty since they also have a mileage component. Finally, it impacts your resale value for obvious reasons. If true, this is also violating federal law which requires odometer accuracy.

If the actual ratio is 1.6 reported/actual, that is about the same as km/mi (1.609). Could be intentional fraud or erroneous programming.

The worst thing about Enron is that quite often, when they bought up a company, those "new" employees had their retirement funds converted over to Enron stock whether they wanted that or not. And as most people know, selling from the employee stock fund was made extremely difficult if not impossible.

Obviously, imputed gas savings will vary by the actual number of miles driven and the cost of gas, which varies greatly by state. Also, unless I’m mistaken not everyone can take advantage of the $7500 tax credit. There’s a lot of smoke and mirrors going on here.

If there were only one or two negatives about Tesla perhaps an investor could ignore it. However with FSD still not true FSD after many years, several key executives leaving, a negative balance sheet, non deliveries of the Roadster and Semi, a CEO who seems to have lost interest in Tesla, massive layoffs plus allegations of fraud that Elon Musk doesn’t respond to except for making negative remarks about the accuser I think it’s quite possible Tesla is engaged in fraud and is going to have a very rough time in the future.

My model three long range is the best thing I’ve ever purchased. Just paid it off after 5 years and 115,000 miles. It has saved me Thousands of dollars, it still accelerates like new and the newest full self-driving software drives me around like a chauffeur. I still get 280 miles of range on a full charge. Down from 310 over five years ago.
