We're converting a 1986 Land Rover 110 County into a Tesla powered electric vehicle - on top of a ground up restoration and body swap to a dual cap ute. It's probably going to be the fastest 'Defender' in the country and have some amazing custom features. Will it be the best Defender in the country? We're sure going to try.

Thanks for all the great content, the main resource for info I use on youtube. I'm half the way through defender 130 conversion using the M3 RDU but I am quite concerned it's going to be under powered, since the old model S motors you mentioned are out of the question for your future defender builds due to diff supply, what would be your motor or dual motors of choice for a heavier 110 or 130

I wonder if the rear batteries set might be placed under the rear seats. Also the front batteries set look to me to be placed too high compromising center of gravity. Regards.

Not as much space as you’d think under there. Upcoming vehicles will have batteries integrated into chassis to a larger extent. Camera angle makes front look higher than it is. It’s as low as it can go without hitting axle. But yes, CoG is probably a bit higher in front

Thanks for showing us all that! What are you doing to reposition the handbrake? I'm doing a similar thing to my Perentie (but with model 3 components). I used a wilwood disc handbrake (to replace the centre handbrake drum).

Awesome. Our Range Rover classic build is using a model 3 motor too. And yes, we're using the wildwood disc handbrake. Not many other options.
