Love your work, you are on the right track, My comment from another video: 1 MILLION people use 1gW electricity generation which needs 40,000 klm transmission = AUD$40 billion per gW Fossil fuels = 5 time more electricity = AUD$200 billion Hello 👋 hello can anyone do maths ? When EVs are universal, the amount of daily electricity storage will be huge and available daily. Most vehicles are parked 23hrs every day and drive building to building. 50m2 on 230m2 roof is enough PV electricity daily for most of the year. NO NEW GRID CONSTRUCTION COSTS $2billion generation needs $40billion grid. AND EVs, electric vehicles. Hello 👋 hello anyone do maths. I think battery technologies are evolving rapidly for the good. All centralised electricity generation has a grid problem.

The total maximum kW output of the enphase system will be 18.345kW! during the day. And output will go up with the addition of any single piece of equipment. With one 11.5kW inverter the tesla system is capped…but probably stackable.
@missingpiece20717 ай бұрын
so does this mean you'll be able to charge your tesla car or ev with the DC at a level 3 charge or say 100 kW. I don't understand why Tesla doesn't integrate the charger into the power wall.

Unbeatable price????? Not sure how much you are charging for the solar panels in this comparison, but I can go to Signature Solar and buy a 12kW hybrid inverter and 28.6kWh worth of batteries for $12,700 roughly. Far better deal than the PW3 which is also not modulr and requires the purchase of another inverter/battery combo when all you might want is another battery.

@URackADisciprine6 ай бұрын
@@leafnutz2341 I am speaking apples to apples (component for component for the most part in AC or DC coupled systems). Not apples to oranges as you are trying to make excuses and including labor costs. And labor does not differ all that greatly based of brands and types of systems installed. DC coupled is cheaper component wise in general but that has no bearing on my initial comment regardless.
@leafnutz23416 ай бұрын
@@URackADisciprine "labor does not differ all that greatly"???? Are you kidding with that statement? Labor prices vary widely across the country and even locally based on all sorts of variables. Since you wanna make an apples to apples comparison. The EG4 18k plus a PowerPro battery is $9000 while the Powerwall 3 is $8400. The EG4 system would still require a gutter and much more labor to install.
@URackADisciprine6 ай бұрын
@@leafnutz2341 Again, you with your apples and oranges comparisons. Compare one area, not a region and CERTAINLY the whole country. And while labor can depend on a number of variables, most installers have it down to a science at this point unless you get a completely worthless installer. The "ACTUAL" costs usually only vary greatly for an out of the box installation. Correction on my part...I see the price listed on thier site, you're right about the $8400 listing. The PW3 still would be a terrible deal in terms of adding more than one battery. Lets take the $8400 for a new PW3. For every battery you want to add after the first, you have to pay slightly less than $8400. For every PowerPro battery you want to add after the first, you only have to pay $3800. And you only have to add another inverter when you want to. An inverter by the way with a 200A pass-thru. This makes the Signature solar setup far more financially sound. Not to mention all the upgrades you get with the 18Kpv vs the built in inverter on the PW3. From what I have seen, the PW3 is not a true AIO inverter setup like the 18Kpv with all of its integrated hardware. And yet again you are wrong, the 18Kpv requires very little additional labor to install even with a wiring trough...woopty. You might want to do some actual research. Good luck to you, ignorance must be bliss. But I dont have anymore time to waste on your ignorance. Adios.
@leafnutz23416 ай бұрын
@@URackADisciprine I got the $8400 price OFF THE ACTUAL TESLA WEBSITE not some random google search. Btw, you can also get $500 off with a refferal code. Regardless of where you get a unit installed, the Tesla system would be cheaper. BTW, I actually own EG4 products and I'm a actual Sig Solar customer. Sounds like you should STFU and put your money where your apples and oranges mouth is and actually buy a system.

Offgrid becomes possible. Customers abandoning the grid in the suburbs means the existing grid does not have to be expanded. Customers abandoning the grid means the remaining customers have to carry the fixed costs of grid transmission lines and poles and wires and transformers and....generation plant and ... Grid electricity prices will explode. Abandoned assets. Stranded assets. Come to mind.

Holy! $h!t, All the setups are over $34K. No way in hell I would pay for any of those setups. No math will make sense that makes any of these viable or return in your investment especially at only 13kw battery capacity. The pricing is also cash. I would hate to see financing when interest rates are over 8%. The EP Cube with 13.3whr is only $9,700. I can't imagine solar panels and wiring more than $10K, so $15K is installation. If all equals the same, the installation and solar panels; would that mean the Tesla Powerwall 3 is $6,000 based on the EP Cube with 13.3whr priced at $9,700?

Woah Buddy, did you hide under a rock or something. In CA, an average Utility bill is $300 per month or $3,600 a year. Pretending the utility bills never get a rate increase the payback is 9 to 10 years. If the rates increase the payback is 4-6 years. Long story short, if someone knocks on your door and says that can give you 25 years' worth of power for a 1-time upfront payment of 6 Years would you do it? Absolutely I would, because if I plan to live in my home for 15 years I paid for 6 and got 9 years for free.

Hard to understand your pricing. Are you saying the Powerwall 3 comes out to $1506 per kWh? That is atrocious. Americans are going to need that price to come down to around $250/kWh or so before its economical and affordable. Even my relatively small home would use 13.5 kWh in about 12 hours in the winter and 4-6 hours in the summer with the AC going. Would need roughly 80-100 kWh of storage before this could become remotely sustainable for anyone in the US that regularly uses air conditioning. EG4 style hybrid inverter + DC coupled batteries are the only reasonable path forward I can see. I hope companies like Tesla catch up to that reality soon.

Tesla sold 500,000 Powerwall 2 and every single Tesla cars are sold before a Vin number is generated. Trust me, the market is adopting it perfectly fine, because these systems are breaking even in 4-8 years. 50 years from now every house you look at will have a microgrid.
