John you predicted HW5 will arrive to cars later this year. In my eyes the big news here is Elon's projection of 18 months until first deployment. This means a minimum of 24 months in real world time. Then it will work in emulation for a year to collect enough data, so we're talking at least 3 years from today until actual usage. The bottom line here is that this is no longer a reason to hold of purchase now. Now it's *just* the LG battery :)

I’m getting a gut feeling that they’re just sandbagging right now, and they’ll launch the Cybercab with HW5 without “officially announcing HW5” to avoid any major sales decline. Bet we’ll see Juniper with HW5 outside of NA close to end of this year

Also UNECE representatives had a meeting in Jan, one in May (when they tried FSD in a demo) and the next one is on June 25th. Main topics contain corrections about reg. n.79 , which is the one that prevents FSD to rollout in Europe, Australia and other countries under UNECE reg. At the moment system initiated maneuvers are not allowed, but i’ve read the pdf file about the discussion that will be hold in few days, and they are considering approving it. Hopefully we will taste V12 too, before the end of next year!

prob compute isn't the limitation, its more likely the new sensors and placements that HW3 and HW4 is lacking
