Agree, this idea of restaurants will be most lucrative the first 4-5 years before solid state batteries are a thing in many cars out there. These cars will charge considerably faster. Sure some people will still stop for a meal, but the vast majority will only charge their cars for like 10 minutes and go.

they are already trying, but really it is difficult, anyways this is a time issue not a budget one, so throwing more resteraunt money would be a waste, this is also another source of income, even If I would be more supportive of them to partner with local brands and resteraunts since I hate the modern resteraunts and I think this would be more scalable.

The restaurant thing is a good idea, but it's pretty damn obvious that you should just jam the charging infrastructure into already existing parking lots in retail centres, where people already leave their cars for half an hour or longer willingly. The only reason you could never do this with petrol infrastructure is you'd have yourself a rather large fire hazard just waiting to go wrong. But if you can plug in the same place you do your shopping, you actually make life easier, you'd never have to queue up to fill your car ever again.

Margin for profit in restaurant is very low unless Tesla use full automation. As a Tesla investor I wouldn’t want Tesla to go into restaurant business. Just lease the supercharger place and take revenue
