Thanks! It really wasn’t that complex, but it depends on your skill level. For anyone who has ever had to properly hook up a sub and amps to a stock system without a wiring harness, this is about the same difficulty.

@@nightmarecivic I can attest to that. It doesn’t always hook up to CarPlay, sometimes freezes and must be reset, or just sluggish at times. As mentioned, it isn’t perfect but still better than the outdated system it came with to me. To each their own

Seeing it now on this video definitely has changed my mind on buying it wow! I was thinking of upgraded my stock rims but I’m really digging the screen! I don’t see many women with this car I’m one...I definitely can’t put the screen in lol but after seeing yours I’ll find someone to put it in. Great video thanks for sharing!

I haven't seen many of this car around period, but women are even rarer behind the wheel. It'll be awesome when you upgrade it to your style. Side note: I threw 22" wheels on mine and my MPG is between 13-18, so be cautious. It's worth it to me!

There’s no need to worry dude. It’s a fuse. It always is. Finding it isn’t always easy but make sure to check in the drivers wheel well and under the hood, in front of the battery.

it is a 6 cd changer you load the disks in by number for those that do not know that. you may already have 5 other cds in that radio

the key light is on because you put your FOB into the key slot when you first tried to start your car while it was in gear.

Yeah, installed the Injen Air Intake and a remote starter. I’m currently editing the videos for both installs but some of the files are corrupted. Stay tuned!

If you want to lose a lot of your car functionality, then buy the screen. But if you never want to see your OEM tire pressure anymore, if you don't want audio proximity signals when parking/driving backward, if you want a hell lot of noise on your audio(during low volume playback), then you can buy this screen. Absolutely NO support from the manufacturer.

Awesome explanation and install, did Phoenix ever get back with about those four issues. I’m curious to know what functions i may lose if choose to upgrade to this unit. I have the navigation unit with the around view camera system. Do you plan on doing a follow up video?

Thanks for watching! It's my first video, and I appreciate it. Answers to my 4.5 questions: 1. The Mark III update is not available for our car. Phoenix wasn't clear on whether this is not available now or ever. Fingers-crossed that will be in the future because it looks better. 2. The key light eventually went away on its own after a week or so. I'm guessing it was re-learning the signal from the key. I never lost functionality, though. 3. TPMS readings are lost. Phoenix confirmed this. I am not sure if the light will go off if the air pressure drops. I will test it and post on my 1-month review video (coming soon!). 4. Phoenix told me that some popular apps have to be downloaded as apk files via computer, copied to a USB drive, and install from there. I've yet to try this, but it will be on the review video. FYI, Hulu works just fine and looks great. 4.5. The temp gauge started working almost at the same time as the key light went off. Let me know if you have any additional questions. Finding info on this system was hard so I had to make this video for anyone planning on dropping ~$700 on a radio. Thanks again!

I'm a female car enthusiast. I own an 06 FX35, with a multi cd player and no navigation. I love my car. One of the upgrades I've been wanting to do is change out the antiquated radio. This informative video you made will make it possible for me to have this radio install on this fabulous and FAST SUV. My next upgrade will be to change out my stock 18"s for some 20"s 1. Will this unit fit my car? 2. Are there any connectors for the TPMS sensor? I also have TPMS in my car. 4. Did all the cables you showed in the video come with the unit or did you have to purchase any of them separately? 5. I saw there was two USBs connector, you only connected one of them, how can I connect both of them in the car? 6. Will I be able to use Google Maps or Waze since I did not have navigation in the first place.

Hi Michelle, I'm glad you're interested in the FX. Infiniti had some nice 20"s on the FX50, if you can find a set. To answer your questions: 1. I believe they make a unit similar to this for your model 2. There is no way to see the PSI on the TPMS on the unit I have. It could be different for yours, although unlikely. 4. Yes, all the cables came with it. Very little instructions, though (hence the video). 5. I connected one to the stock location, the other I used to connect a 128gb thumb drive with music, videos, and movies. It is hidden, but being used. 6. You will be able to use either, since it is compatible with iOS and runs an Android OS. Hope this helps!

is this the px3 or px6 version? which android os is this? early units may be buggy, later ones might be better. how is communication, service, and responsiveness of phoenix? did you get it from ebay, amazon, or aliexpress?

This is the PX6 version. It is running the android 9.0 version. The communications themselves were good (from Phoenix) but the responses weren’t all that helpful. Very curt. I bought it directly from Phoenix. I recorded a review video but it came out awful. I’ll have to record a new one with a 2 month review.

hi there ,I wonder if you still have the system working properly, and I have a question if you don't mind, is the car system reading works like the OEM one or not and for the hidden features like the diagnostic mode in the OEM that when you press and hold the settings and rotate the volume button it'll pup up ; does this tesla "Zwnav" has it ?

Is your's hissing when any sound plays? Do your radar sensors work with the cameras? I want to love this radio but a few things are really pissing me off. TPMS should be in a built in app called console.

I know the feeling. The radio is an upgrade from stock in my opinion, but far from perfect. Mine doesn't hiss and unless you have an aftermarket radio, I really couldn't see where that would come from. I don't have radar sensors on my base model but from what I read on their website, it works. Take this with a grain of salt since they also said the TPMS works, but it won't. And yes, I saw the TPMS app but it won't connect to the sensors. You have to buy different sensors for that function and a USB dongle that connects to those.

I purchased the tesla radio for my o6 fx35. I can not get the backup camera to work. I was sent an aftermarket backup, do I have to install it, or is there some way to get the factory camera to work?

My factory camera worked just fine, so I didn’t have to rewire a new camera. With that said, factory cameras have horrendous quality so I would’ve replaced the stock unit with an aftermarket one. Didn’t have to, though.

Will this work in my Q70L? I have owned the Q70 - believe it is a 2015 - for several years and the infotainment unit looks like the same one on the FX. And it is very similar to system that was in my M35. Great car, but the interface is dog$hit. Everywhere I look I am told that there is no aftermarket stereo unit for this car.

I agree, Infiniti held on to this system a decade too long. I believe they sell this unit for most, if not all Infinitis with that audio system. Phoenix Automotive would have a better answer though. Good luck!

I intend to buy this screen for my infiniti qx70, I have doubts: I would also like to install the USB DAB + and TPMS usb together as the originals don't work. Do you think it is possible to install them at the same time? Do the internal connections support 2 USB inputs? then I also have to connect my ipod or usb key for music, whether it uses the standard of the car?

Fortunately, there are 2 USB ports. One of them can be hidden (I keep a 256gb thumb drive under the cup holder with movies and music) and the other connects to an adapter which then connects to the factory USB port in the center console. Unfortunately, I don’t think it supports 3 USB inputs. You can ask the supplier if there is a 3-way wire or if a junction box could work. Best of luck!

My car didn’t have the 360 view, but I’ve seen it work with this radio on other cars. You might want to verify with the vendor. Rear camera does work.

My car didn’t come with the awesome 360 cameras, so I don’t know if it works. It’s supposed to, as far as si know. And yes, the climate controls work on the display and with the buttons.

Thanks for the view! I don’t have the NAV version myself but considering that the only real difference is the NAV function, touchscreen, and 360 camera, my experience is probably similar. I believe you’ll retain the 360 camera, but the NAV is now replaced by Google maps. Works very well with more detail. If you use CarPlay, you’ll be using the Apple Maps app. You will lose TPMS sensor readings (the low air alert on the speedo still works), all maintenance life items (tire life, oil life, brake life, etc.), and Sirius XM (you can download the app). I hope this helps. @@arifmemis9700 it comes from the hotspot on your phone. It works quite seamlessly as long as you leave the hotspot on in your phone. You can jump in the car and it has wifi upon start up

No, not at all. However, I did blow a fuse that wouldn’t let the car start. You should unplug the battery if you install this radio, but I was going to go through all of the fuses anyways and didn’t do that.

Make sure you connected the AC box again and if you did check your harness connections. Mine didn’t work either and I had connected one harness wrong
