Zwnav Tesla style radio Android touchscreen. My 4 Problems/bugs with my 2010 Infiniti FX37 QX70

I have 4 big problems with the ZWNAV Tesla type screen: (besides the terrible service of the manufacturer). All 4 of these bugs make the product almost useless. All western companies would repair these bugs with a firmware upgrade, but apparently, that is not the case with low-quality companies like ZWNAV.
1) The original OEM TPMS (tire pressure) is not displayed.
when I bought the screen, the saleswoman told me that I would not need the 4 tire pressure sensors which can be bought as an accessory for the ZWNAV. But until now, I did not get the original OEM Car tire sensors to display anything else than 0. There is nowhere a switch to select either the original TPMS sensors or to select the ZWNAV sensors. Do never trust ANYTHING that Chinese people tell you. They lie.
2) The touchscreen beeps only work when the radio volume is on.
You can touch the screen at a random location and the screen will beep. The beeps absolutely give no indication that an actual button was pressed. Crazy.
3) Parking sensor beeps not working.
When driving backward, the proximity sensors should produce beeps when the car is close to an object. With the ZWNAV screen, no beeps can be heard, even though the setting "radar sound" had been turned on. This is not good..... Without beeps, you are very likely to hit something when you are driving backward. This single bug makes the ZWNAV Tesla screen totally useless.
4) Noise on the audio. (KZbin made the audio sample rate a bit low, so the noise is much better hearable in real)
In another youtube video of mine, you can also hear the noise.
The noise can be heard when the volume is low.
The setting "Audio Fader" is necessary because otherwise, the volume will be much too loud.
Also this bug is so serious that it makes the ZWNAV Tesla screen totally useless.
UPDATE: 04-12-2021:
I have been emailing with the salesperson on AliExpress for more than 1 year now. Asking for a firmware update. It is like talking to a wall. She has absolutely no knowledge and does nothing.
I also contacted the producer of the screen (ZWNAV.NET) several times directly. They replied that I must contact the seller on AliExpress. I also bought another screen from ZWNAV (screen with the same dimensions as the original Infiniti OEM screen, hoping that that screen would give me the possibility to switch back and forth between the Tesla screen and the OEM screen. But no matter how I connected that screen, it was not able to switch back to the OEM screen (long pressing the Back button should have the screen return to the OEM settings)
So again a ZWNAV product that fails. DO NOT BUY.

I bought one for my car before finding this video and mine is making a pound buzzing noise too. Definitely do not recommend buying at all.

Yep, the noise in the audio is out of this planet. Do not count on a firmware update. There is NO support. Well there is typical Chinese support. (no supprt)

Hi Adrian, Actually not. I removed the screen from the car, because the noise was much to high. Also the radar beeps do not work when driving backwards.... All the bugs were not solved. Products from China do not have quality or service.

Hi Robert. its good that you made a video about it. did you install it by yourself? Iam actually planning to buy one and good that i found your video. so its not perfect. that App should be updated. but issue with this stuff pretty sure no one will update or upgrade the software. so i think it will work fine with cars with lesser systems. can you share the link of this product. i might look for other manufacturer.

Yo KQ, there is no support. Firmware update will never come. Support will never reply with anything useful. Support is some Chinese girl with no knowledge at all of whatsoever, just not understanding ANYTHING. You will NEVER be able to get ANYTHING from them. Support will only ask for more videos explaining the problem. Endless stalling, and at the end, support will not reply anymore. If you are OK with your back driving into objects once in a while (because the radar beeps are not working), no TPMS and a lot of hearable noise on the audio will not be a problem for you, then go for it. You can find these screens on aliepress, several sellers offer them. I also bought another screen from ZWNAV… last month. An android screen that replaces the OEM screen. That screen would guarantee that all OEM functions I would still be able to get access to. Supposedly when pressing the back button on the console panel, that screen would go back to the OEM screen (instead of the android). But….. it does not do this. So again a failed ZWNAV product.

@@krizquiogue6010 had mine 3 weeks. Ac controls were useless it would turn on and off by itself very randomly. The volume settings would reset everytime I turn on the unit again. Wifi would disconnect and I would have to reset unit. Made my emergency blinkers come on and off randomly. My smart key functions went away on their own the 2nd week. It was cool to show off for a few days until now that I thought my FX was gonna go up in flames.. Def wasn't worth the headaches to get more headaches

hi there ,I wonder if you still have the system working properly, and I have a question if you don't mind, is the car system reading works like the OEM one or not and for the hidden features like the diagnostic mode in the OEM that when you press and hold the settings and rotate the volume button it'll pup up ; does this tesla "Zwnav" has it ??

I uninstalled the screen from my FX37. So I do not have it working anymore. To answer your questions as far as I know.... : The hidden menu car settings (you get there by pressing and holding some knobs and rotating the volume?),,, those settings are only available in the OEM screen, the Tesla screen will not show them. For example the round view camera, the round view camera can only be adjusted in the OEM hidden menu, not in the Tesla screen. The fact that the Tesla screen does not allow you to adjust the round view camera positions, made me also decide to uninstall the Tesla screen.

I intend to buy this screen for my infiniti qx70, I have doubts: I would also like to install the USB DAB + and TPMS usb together as the originals don't work. Do you think it is possible to install them at the same time? Do the internal connections support 2 USB inputs? then I also have to connect my ipod or usb key for music, whether it uses the standard of the car?

Doubts are correct... I removed the screen from my car because of these 4 problems. USB DAB? why? just install an app with internet radio, for example tuneinradio. TPMS USB? what is that? Your original TPMS does not work? that is strange, than go to the Infiniti dealer and have it fixed. Anyway the TPMS of the Tesla screen only works with the TPMS valves which you can buy as an accessory with the Tesla screen. The Tesla screen does not work with the OEM Infiniti TPMS. 2 USB inputs? I believe there was only 1 (plus the 1 that is already there)... But you can connect a hub I think.

By connecting the supplied cables of course. The video of the camera runs through a cable that on 1 end has a multipole connector. The other end only has a single connector.

TPMS is in the console app, other than that I have all of the same issues. Also, on the reverse cam there are supposed to be animations for our radar around the car under the cameras, it works on other infinitis but not ours for some reason. The worst part is definitely the noisy hiss in the audio. The last thing is that the screen is pretty dim in daylight, other than these issues this radio would be perfect

Hi stephen, thanks for your reaction. Your reaction actually is the first intelligent and also the first constructive reaction until now :) (and that includes the reactions of ZWNAV).... First of all.... you wrote that your car, the tpms is in the console, i also have the tpms in the console (as you can see in the video), but the values stay at zero. Are they working in your car?? which model you have? FX37, QX70? indeed i agree with you that apart from these issues the screen would be perfect.... but because of these issues i removed the screen from my car. I even asked zwnav for a refund, but they refused and kept on lying about that their engineer is busy with my 4 issues.

Do you have Bose amplifier? The sound output from main harness (8 cables) is meant for speakers (not amplifier). The signal coming from main harness has been "amplified" by the head unit so that speakers will output correct volume. The solution is to use given LINE OUT harness that provide PREAMP signals (that have not been amplified whatsoever) and are meant for external amplifier. You have to splice 8 main harness cables (FL+-, FR+-, RL+-, RR+-) as well as AMP ON cable and redirect them to LINE OUT harness.

Yeah the screen is way too dim in bright daylight. The only solution is to put anti glare screen on top. Since my factory supplied sound system breaks down (and Infiniti wants $5000 for new AV unit), I have no choice but purchase this radio.

@@Andhyka That is a good idea... I assume that you also experienced a lot of noise and then used the LINEOUT instead of the SPEAKEROUT..... Did you try this already? If that works, would be nice... If only the radar beeps for the reverse camera would also work............. Then I would re-install the screen again

@@roberthonsbeek4480 I have tried modifying it and the hissing noise is now gone. My parking sensor in my radio does not work either. This happens when ordering directly from aliexpress. Those who live in the USA actually buy from Phoenix Automotive, in which the company orders the radio from China but sends its customers modified harness so that everything works correctly.

Audio fader in the settings you should turn on, otherwise, the volume is too loud. There is no fix for the noise. This will never be fixed, because ZWNAV does not give updates or support. The Tesla screen is a nice screen, but the bugs are so bad that I do not find it an overall upgrade.

Hi George, There is no solution,. because products from China do not have service, warranty or anything. I de-installed the screen, and installed the original screen again. It was a wise lesson for me to never buy anything from China anymore that costs more than 10 euro.

I do not think that there are cable specially for AFS going to the radio section. If you would remove the screen, and the AFS light is still flashing,, then the AFS simply went defect at the same moment that you installed the screen, and that would be quite a coincidence…

I bought the most expensive newest version. If you want to try if these (and other bugs) will not be in a newer version of this screen, then simply shed out the 700 Euro for the screen and try it. I also tried it and found out that there is no support. And no money back.

I would not recommend it, unless you can deal with a lot of noise in the audio and your TPMS not working anymore, and your camera radar beeps not working anymore. Forget about firmware updates. There is no support for Chinese products like this.

Without reverse camera beeps, I will drive into every object I overlooked when driving backwards. Also the noise on the audio is terrible. And the TPMS is not working. Janos, If your climate control does not work, then probably the CAN bus is not connected or working correctly. Do the doorlight turn on when you open the doors? I do not have a video where I connected all the cables, so I can not help you with that. You will have to check the chinese installation video..
