TESLA Summon in 2024 Refresh

Today, we will be testing the updated Tesla Summon feature in Fall 2024. In a previous video, which can be found at the following URL: • Tesla Summon in 2024 , we demonstrated the use of the "Dumb Summon" feature, and the car failed every time in an empty parking lot. I was also wrong about a few things, saying it can't be done with vision only, etc...
In this video, we will test the new Actual Summon System (A.S.S.) in an empty parking lot, followed by a full parking lot with people, cars, and kids.
I'm blown away by this new A.S.S.

Yes. definitely need front cam. Maybe even cam inside the light housing so it doesn't look obvious. It will also solve the low direct sunlight into your eyes problem that blinds the camera. And perhaps even side front camera too to help with inching up into intersections.

I’m of the mindset that adding a camera to the front of the car will not solve the direct sunlight issue but over all it would still be better cause the POV of the camera right now doesn’t collect anything below the hood. And that part is critical.

@@FSDdriver It may not, but the blinding direct sunlight needs to be solved for FSD to happen. If they gonna add a front camera, might as well make it dual purpose b/c human, we can squint or shift our head back to view from a different angle. Let's see what the robotaxi event will reveal.

Cart collectors, yes. Previous version hit it pulling out. I tried parking close to one with ASS and it worked!

cool video. appreciate this look. While i believe its legal to film people in public without blurring their faces, i think out of respect it should still be done. or atleast the children. otherwise thanks for the insight into the A.S.S.
