My crazy theory is that he is building an AI ecosystem, satellite ground stations are plugged into google datacenters, the bot has the same number of sensors as a car, so both will have the same view of world, same chip, same software, a 12 billion dollar Samsung chip factory being built just for Elon next door to Austin giga factory, virtualizing the power grid, that will soon be AI controlled. Imagine Telemedicine via satellites to the 2/3 of world that doesn't even have xray machines. Yup I said it, hot robot nurses in our future, thanks Elon.

The LV tunnels will need that people mover. Modern mass transit has wider doors to allow more people to get on and off more quickly which speeds up routes. And a people move could be set up with wireless charging so when it stops at stations it can get a little more range and ideally keep operating. This would be a great demo to bring it to more cities.

Side mirrors are for Canada which has the ability to see behind a trailers.. Camera close to Vehicle side can not see properly behind wide trailers where a mirrors can.

Hertz may not get discount on price. However, since it's a huge customer, it probably gets a bunch of free destination chargers and VIP support to install these chargers. Probably some other high priority support too.

Formerly working with EMS I can say the kneeling ability is good and already in some ambulances. Most ambulances idle waiting for the next call and only go about 40 to 50 miles on a long call and in dense population areas would only go about 8 to 10 miles a call. The fact it can be plugged in and ready to go immediately and also support more functions due it's larger size will no doubt save more lives along with those of the crew since it's getting rid of PPM.

They can really use wireless charging now so they don't accidentally rip the charging cable when responding to a call. Or they can have the charging cable on a quick disconnect lanyard cable.. They can also include an air conditioning hose into the ambulance while charging and waiting for a call..

My LR Model Y was originally scheduled for delivery in Dec. Now they are saying Feb-Mar. While I think it's kind of crappy they pushed me back I also feel a bit more comfortable as I'm hoping for the federal tax to get approved and wanting the 4680 batteries. No guarantees to either of those but it's better to wait.

If your Sparky gets FSD...will my 2016 Model S "Ice Breaker" get cameras and FSD? I was blown away to hear that and had to replay it a many times to make sure I understood it. I received my 75D (then a 60D) in July 2016. In talking to other 2016 Model S owners, they started installing the 8 cameras in late September. My wife and I love everything about the car except for the lack of the extra cameras and no Sentry mode or upgrades to Autopilot. And yes, I'm an older owner of an older Model S. :) Any idea on when this becomes available?

There's no federal law that requires drivers to have side-view mirrors on their vehicles, and many states don't require them or only require you to have them on one side of the vehicle. So in those states, you can legally remove your side-view mirrors and drive around on public roads.

I just did Uber from past the strip to the airport. $17 Municipal bus from the airport is hidden like they don't want you to find it. $6 for 2hr $12 for 24hr and $30 for three days of unlimited municipal bus. Lots of stops in traffic way slower than uber, not a very good setup.

We use that Raley's in Loomis 1:10:10 all the time on our drives up to Tahoe. Great Raley's with clean Bathrooms, with a Taco Bell and Burger King nearby and a Subway in case you want some fake tuna.
