It Happened! Elon Musk CONFIRM New Tesla Bot Optimus NEW Gen Release on DECEMBER! 5 Latest Upgrades! In just two years, Tesla's Optimus robot has undergone three major design revisions and four hand upgrades, transforming it into a cutting-edge humanoid. Optimus is now a familiar sight in Tesla's offices and labs, where it autonomously navigates and performs tasks daily with remarkable precision.
Even more impressively, Optimus robots have been deployed in Tesla factories, autonomously handling complex operations once reserved for human workers.
Up to now, Elon Musk is confident that Optimus is perfect with a latency of only 20 milliseconds, 10 times faster than human reaction speed or 2.5 times faster than Boston Dynamics.
It Happened! Elon Musk CONFIRM New Tesla Bot Optimus NEW Gen Release on DECEMBER! 5 Latest Upgrades! So, how far can this technology go, and What is Optimus' next breakthrough?
How does Optimus increase operating time 3 times?
Well, Optimus is packing a 2.3 kWh, 52-volt battery, which allows it to work for a whopping 23 hours straight on a single charge. Compare that to other humanoid robots that tap out after just 4 to 8 hours, and it’s clear that Optimus is in a league of its own. Most competitors will cost you a huge fortune just for a short stint of work-$150,000 for Boston Dynamics’ Atlas or a jaw-dropping $250,000 for Agility Robotics' Cassie-and you only get 90 minutes to 2 hours of action out of them. Meanwhile, with Optimus, you’re looking at under $20,000 for almost a full day of work. So, tell me, which one sounds like a better deal to you?
It Happened! Elon Musk CONFIRM New Tesla Bot Optimus NEW Gen Release on DECEMBER! 5 Latest Upgrades! Now, let’s talk brains. Optimus got smarts packed right into its chest, where Tesla’s custom-designed 'system-on-a-chip' lives. This little powerhouse is basically the same computer that’s found in Tesla’s self-driving cars. It connects via Wi-Fi and even LTE, processing visual data from the cameras in its head and sensory input from its fingers to make real-time decisions. Yeah, you heard that right. It’s not just following a script-it’s thinking on its feet, thanks to neural network training. And just like Tesla’s cars, this baby’s got a built-in battery management system that handles everything from charging to power distribution to keeping things cool when the work gets hot.
But it’s not just smart-it’s fast. With advanced AI, Optimus is 30% quicker at getting tasks done, meaning it cranks out more work in less time. That’s not just speed for speed’s sake-it makes a difference when you're counting on this bot to stay active all day long. You’ll get more bang for your buck, especially when Optimus can work alongside humans in a production setting, boosting productivity by up to 40%. Imagine having this thing in your factory or warehouse. Suddenly, you’re working smarter, not harder.

I'm a 40 year old warehouse worker/ flt driver and I can't see me reaching retirement age without being replaced by a robot... This basically costs roughly a year's salary for me... Company's would be crazy not to replace their workforce with a fleet of these and it won't matter how much they'll reduce the costs of products for everyone because no body will have any money!! The future is going to be amazing for the 1%ers... Not so much for the rest of us

I am not fully convinced. Although the speaker talks about how fast this robot is, in the video it appears to be moving at an excruciatingly slow pace. Bordering to boring I might say. I suppose that they will eventually try to make it move faster. But there IS an alarming issue: At some point the speaker suggests that through AI these robots will develop self awareness. Self awareness is a feature of living organisms, especially the ones on the top of the evolution ladder. Is that something that we humans really want?

While Elon Musk's vision for robots like Optimus is bold, it feels like we're still a long way from seeing practical, everyday uses for them. The demonstrations are interesting, but the robot's functionality seems quite basic. There's also a concern about how this technology might impact jobs and whether AI safety is being fully considered. I’d love to see more tangible progress before buying into the hype.

I assume these robots will be connected to Wi-Fi, with built-in processors and software. Of course, there will likely be some form of firewall or security measures in place. However, just imagine that in the next 10 years, 70% of people own one of these robots. What if, one day, a genius hacker manages to break through all these security barriers? This would be very different from hacking our phones, which I believe may have been compromised long ago without us realizing it. Hacking a phone primarily allows someone access to your media and contacts, but hacking a robot could mean physical control over a machine, one capable of doing anything, including harmful actions. This possibility worries me deeply for future generations. Things are becoming dangerously uncertain. If I'm wrong, please provide some arguments to convince me otherwise.
