I would love to see you do a video on retro gamine. Which era or eras would be most flattering for a gamine, and what elements could they incorporate into a modern outfit? Eg. 20s deco purse, 50s pencil skirt, etc. Also different eras used different makeup, so maybe lip stick etc. could also be part of the look. Really enjoying your videos. Thank you.

I'm not sure what you do as a career Frani, but I always think you'd make such a great teacher. The way you deliver information in a calm, accessable, and interesting way is why I never miss one of your videos (I also adore your silly, goofy moments). I find this topic so interesting because i love analyzing aesthetics and thinking about why certain things work. I had never heard of Kimmis body types before stumbling onto your channel, but now I find myself thinking about how to incorporate yin or yang elements into my style and what works best for my body type, and it really does make a difference in how i feel about what im wearing and how I present myself. Anyway, thanks for making the great informative content and I feel like you'd be so fun to just hang out with and have coffee and conversation. You are truly a gem in the youtube sphere

Aww what a sweet thing to say. Thank you! I was a preschool teacher for half a second and learned a lot from that experience.

Naysayers be damned! Flamboyant gamines aren’t a monolith, and I think there’s definitely room for long hair. I believe I’ve heard it’s better if there’s more texture/uniqueness/peculiarity if the hair is long for FGs- which I think makes a lot of room for more textured and particularly BIPOC hair like Afros, long voluminous curls, weaves, and braids. I think with braids there’s a broken up aspect about them almost like stripes, which keeps from being too sleek or dragging down. I also think they can be done up in very geometric and flamboyant updos! Is Corrine Bailey Rae a flamboyant gamine? She wild be cool for this series. Oh Lianne La Havas- I’m not sure of her body type but the definitely dresses and does her hair/makeup in flamboyant/quirky ways! Xo

Yesssss!! Thanks for taking the time to spell all that out! Love your suggestions, btw. I'm not sure what their body types are. I'll have to look into it.

Honestly same. I am not lush . so, i never felt womanly rather felt girly. i have the most yin in the face, my height (5 2') and my delicate hands. i have yang in my long limbs , slightly taut shoulder flesh and almost rectangle or 🔻shape. Because of my face, I can still wear some soft gamine outfits probably because now that i have lost weight, my yin skeleton is showing. Also yes, lush, wavy or lush curly hairs are best for FG. I often get complimented on how feminine i look just because of my hair and when i oil my hair, i just tie it as a bun so that the vertical line is maintained ...it looks amazing soft natural braids also work for me ..so girl, you can grow it out🤍

Those shoes are horse shoe mules. I love Tessa ever since I saw her in Creed. She’s super fashionable. I’m not great with names um maybe Flambam(flamboyant; bam, in your face). Idk😂
