Why would they ever have to date? Dating is all about getting to know each other. These two know more about each other than most couples who have been married for 50 years. Dating at this point seems redundant. OTOH, these two also seem to love and respect each other more than most who have been married for years. It's definitely a unique relationship and one that has worked well for them. How will it be when they don't spend almost every waking minute with each other? It would be like losing a huge part of oneself. Time will tell but I say let them have their peace and stop asking them the same questions over and over again. My thought regarding the newlywed/get to know your partner games and questions is that they could close down a lot of that if they really wanted to. Same questions same answers right and wrong. They were on a Montreal tv show two weeks ago and someone said can I ask you a burning question and they both recoiled. The question was do you sharpen your own skates? They were relieved and instead of answering the question and moving on, Tessa brings up the relationship by saying oh I had an answer in French which was we are not a couple. Then it was down a rabbit hole. A lot of times they poke at the ant pile. To be honest, they are less guarded and are more natural when the conversation is about other things. I would rather those kind of interviews instead of the forced relationship. The funny thing is the Scott slips up more on those interviews. As Ellen determined, they are ok they way they are. Its their business. I would rather watch them skate anyway.

I agree - the interviews should focus more on their body of work and general things instead of this relationship stuff. Unfortunately, they themselves perpetuate it by doing this newlywed/get to know your partner games in interviews. Its the same questions and same answers (right and wrong - I would think by now Scott would know Tessa likes breakfast). They could say beforehand - we are not going there. They bring up the relationship even when it is not asked - they often poke at the ant pile. It doesn't help that the steamy stuff on the ice is the same steamy stuff off the ice. Anyway, whatever they want to call their relationship ( I would say more married than married people), it is heartwarming and delightful.

I was seeing articles everywhere about how people claim "there is no way they aren't in a relationship." I think they said somewhere that they wouldn't think its fair since they've done so much off ice dancing already (more than Meryl and Charlie did). Tessa was even offered a spot in the national ballet at age 9!

in a french interview on Monday, tessa said she never ever imagined skating with anyone but Scott because the reason she loved skating was because of having scott as a partner. NO sisters or brothers would look at each other the way they do in the interviews ( not only in Ellen show),they know each other so well,their weaknesses,insecurities,jokes..they have been together for 20 years ,and their biggest passion is skating,and we all can see the chemistry between them,,so I cant imagine a partner who would be able to compete with or accept what they have.. maybe they will open up when they retire,or maybe they are already married,or Scott is too shy to ask her or maybe he is scared of the answer or vice versa ,dont know the reason ,but There is definitely a spark between them..

Capria Y Ice dancing judging is so corrupt that it isn’t even funny. With their superior skating skills, musicality, athleticism and chemistry, they should not be judged the same or less than other skaters who don’t have at least the skating skill or have glaring mistakes on the ice. If they continue, the judges will rank them lower to let new couples win. It’s a shame that figure skating judging penalizes real talent so that favorite skaters can rise to the top.

Sally Vee after this year olympic they will be retiring and it has been noted by everyone i think that Olympics 2018 will possibly be their last ice dancing. That's why their performance was a bit more emotional than usual and a lot of the audiences were standing after it ended. That being said, they can still compete if they decided to withdraw their decision. Age doesn't matter... Savchenko is 34 when she won gold in Olympics.
