It's true. I'm Italian and I fell in love with them after seeing their magical routines during Vancouver Olympics. In 2012 I went on purpose from Milan to Nice to see them skate live at World Championships. They are, simply, in a class of their own for talent, technique, musicality, interpretation, chemistry and connection.

Well I don't know anything about that but Scott is putting on weight not a good psychological sign I'm thinking.I lost respect when he turned his back on Tessa for the little divorce' obviously sexually experienced and so he married her two years after she became pregnant?Covid held the Wedding up?Right. Not the feeling like a trap was closing in a trap of his own making?Ces La Vie!

@@bluewren2 Sorry to say, but you are probably being unfair to Scott, because you don't know if it wasn't Tessa who turned her back on Scott, and therefore , it was probably Tessa who wasn't interested in committing to Scott with a view to a future marriage. The truth is that if Scott publicly introduced his girlfriend in August 2019, Tessa also started dating her current husband in 2019. Furthermore, as everyone could see, Scott always showed a lot of affection and respect for Tessa, so why would he turn his back on Tessa? Life is what it is, and sometimes it surprises us with somewhat unexpected challenges, and only Scott and Tessa know their lives. One thing is right . Scott seems to be an excellent person, with many personal and professional qualities.

@@fatimabeirao4714 i had similar thought as you at first until i watched the tv series about them. Scott was in a relationship in 2014 and Tessa seemed to have stay single all that long. She said she was single because she had to focus on sports, but that complex relationship with Scott, it is hard not to think Tessa might have stayed single unintentionally cuz she couldn’t fall for any other guys. She gave it all to the sports and also Scott. Scott was in a relationship but who are we to say…… i mean ppl nowadays even find it difficult to keep a marriage for ten years whereas they have already been together for 17 years without a romantic commitment but only career commitment, not to mention at such a young age. To keep that passion and fire burning was so uneasy, and that’s why in the first episode of their ‘documentary’ show, that physical touch connection training really brought me by tears. They could still find it again even they sometimes found themselves lost it after so many years. They might not know it throughly how precious it was at their 20s…. As ppl at 30s 40s 50s struggling with the same thing and you achieved it at 20s. Sometimes we just think our relationship is not enough or so on…… and have not reach the stage of wisdom where gratitude and the feeling of fulfilment “that’s enough…. And I’m satisfied..’ kind of feeling and commit as life partner/marriage until we lost something important in life. I really wish i am all wrong about the above cus if that’s true, i couldn’t imagine the pain the two have to endured. But we also know the two of them had that wonderful journey to think of like 2010…. That connection…. The narrative said that there was show which was a show for the world, another type is for audience to peek at this magical little world of the two. I wish you two great amazing people get to embrace all the love you could have and deserved after the retirement. And thank you for this great story of sports and love and heartbreak. I spent four days watching all these stages of you guys after a short reels on instagram. You two really have a strong heart and inspire ppl in getting into sports, healing, loving and become stronger. ❤

These two were the first team to push the boundaries in terms of the acrobatics and daring of their Lifts, Etc. They decided to consult people from Cirque de Soleil, making themselves the 1st Team to create lifts with acrobatic skills that had never been seen in ‘Ice Dancing.’ They were a huge part of revealing Ice Dancing to the World and enormously boosting its Popularity. Prior to Virtue & Moir, it was rare to even see Ice Dancing coverage on Television - viewers could always catch the top Women’s, Men’s and Pair’s Figure skating, but Ice Dancing - if we saw it at all, looked very regimented without much of the thrilling beauty and daring into which Ice Dancing has evolved. When we watch the Junior and the Senior Ice Dancing Teams of today, we can still see the fundamentals that were introduced by Virtue/Moir.

@@ЛюбовьШестак-ж1э • Thank you for your reply! I see the fundamentals of Virtue/Moir’s contributions so often! Hall of Fame , so well deserved. The poignant part I liked was her mother's comment response to Tessa's question, "what was it or what element made them so successful" ( other than including all the sacrifice , the grueling hard work and the support of excellent people along the way on that train); her mother said it was the cycle of constant goal setting. You never let up on defining and redefining your goals. That's a life lesson for success in any endeavor.

I've never heard a serious interview with Tessa and Scott. I've come away really impressed by Tessa. She has an amazing vocabulary and a keen intellect. It's really fascinating hearing her talk. It's interesting to see the contrast with Scott having bigger dreams early on, but not thinking much about post Olympic life and how Tessa was more focused on short-term goals, but also thought of a life after skating. Her introspection is quite insightful for an athlete, really, for anyone, but especially impressive for athletes who are not often thought of as brainy.

Scott seems to be a wonderful person, full of qualities, integrity, honesty, and, who, during his public appearances with Tessa has always demonstrated to have a relationship of great affection, complicity, connection, admiration and respect for Tessa. Their relationship seemed to be based on Joy, Affection, good knowledge of each other, and great complicity in defining their professional goals. If it is true that Tessa was, undoubtedly , an excellent dancer, it is also true that Scott perfectly matched with Tesa in his elegant masculine sensuality. There were exhibitions such as the case of Malher's Symphony No. 5, in which Scott and Tessa looked like a Prince and a Princess dancing at a 19th century Aristocratic Society ball, but in the present case dancing on the ice, which implies that both Tessa and Scott have a great bodily flexibility, and above all, high Emotional Intelligence, which allowed them to perfectly perform the different choreographies, which the songs danced demanded it. It seems that the great chemistry, and the excellent relationship that existed between Scott and Tessa, contributed to them becoming an ideal pair for excellent success in the Art of Figure Skating. And, as Scott appears in this interview looking a little sad, and in a very different register than when he was partnered with Tessa, Scott probably really liked Tessa, and Tessa had no desire to commith to Scott. In this interview Scott also demonstrates that he has a lot of maturity in his comments, but unlike Tessa, Scott must be really missing the times he spent with Tessa and feels a lot of nostalgia and longing for those times, which he didn't even want to believe that were already over 5 years since this partnership was ended. I recently saw an exhibition of a figure skating pair that was placed in first place in a recent championship, in 2024, technically they were perfect, but they had no soul or connection between them , when carrying out their choreography, and the lack of these ingredients took away all the shine and excellence of its performance. Scott seems to be an excellent person , and , who , deserves to be very happy in his family and emotional life. My best wishes are that Scott can achieve these goals in his private life , so that , when he enters into his family home , he will feel as much like hugging his wife , as he seemed to do when he publicly hugged Tessa . Scott deserves the Best.

this is so bittersweet. looking so far removed from the world of ice dancing... not to dwell on the different paths they must have taken now but its really insane how connections with people shape your life. was really emotional seeing how they made space for each other in the conversation and when you could see them really click.. the way tessa speaks so eloquently and the different way in which they praise each other. this whole style of interview and video made for quite a few moments that really hit... 8:05 for example. lots to learn from their worldly advice, I think. truly wish them the best in life; their view of life and translating emotion through their work will stay with me forever

Am I wrong in saying that I am feeling an element of sadness in her? They were in a long relationship which suddenly came to an end. Surely there would be withdrawal symptoms. Scott seems more in control of his emotions, but I think Tessa is feeling a loss. I would love your comments please.

Probably, the Figure Skating Legend that is Scott Moir, together with his admirable and equally talented Tessa Virtue , will still be adapting to his new professional life, and to his new role as a married man and father of a daughter , because it seems that Scott still feels nostalgic for the wonderful times he spent building his great career as a Figure Skater with Tessa , and of his times well filled in his loving relationship , with so much complicity and so much joy , which characterized his sharing of his professional life with Tessa Virtue . It even seems that , Scott Moir avoids looking too closely at Tessa Virtue , probably, to avoid having to control himself from falling into Tessa ‘s arms , and giving her an affectionate kiss on the cheek, as happened in their public performances. Life is as it is, and I hope Tessa and Scott can move forward with their own lives and paths, with much Happiness and many Successes for these 2 admirable Figure Skating professionals, who seems to be 2 admirable Human Beings.

I can only imagine how emotional it must be for them to be in such close proximity together and just all the emotions they must be going through during this interview. I feel for them so much. I know that they're being supportive and respectful of one another. Scott seems so stressed in this situation for some reason, saying he's nervous, fiddling around with his hands alot, head and shoulders down. Tessa tearing up in the corner of her eye. Soulmates together again and I can't even imagine what these two must be feeling and how they are navigating all of this in their current situation.... Wishing them all the love and success and spiritual happiness.

It's a pity that this interview is just like any other interview they gave during their career. "Appreciate each other, worked hard, grateful for all the support by family, coaches and people, wow we're so humbled and honored..." The content was repeated a thousand times before and it always just scratches the surface. I was hoping to know more personal and private stories and details of their struggles now after their competitive career is finished, I don't see why it would harm their fame in any way, I think rather the opposite, it would help us to feel more what they felt and understand their story better. But I suppose they have their reasons of not opening up more and I respect that. Maybe they haven't even reconciled with many things that happened, considering how tense Scott seems, and more time needs to pass to heal and get over things and that's also ok. After all it's their life. I congratulate them and wish them all the best and God's blessings upon their lives and families.

We love them. Their artistry is next to perfection. Fairytales reflect the hopes, dreams, and human failings we experience in life. It cautions us about dangers to be avoided. My top 5: 1. Latch (it's like the story of a couple finding the true meaning that led them back together) 2. Stay (it's tearing layers of vulnerability of each other that's more vulnerable than Tennessee Waltz) 3. Valse Triste (it has that young Victorian subtlety and sensitivity that started the whole chemistry thing that everyone loves about V&M, the hype in years about them prior really lived up to the hype) 4. The Waltz Must Go On (Tessa in that turquois dress is beautiful, that whole hype and drama has that pre WW2 feel to it, lol) 5. Prince (the theme really shines through and the dance and chemistry of V7M's signature shows they're back. Contenders: Tennessee waltz, assassination tango, black magic woman, umbrellas of cherbourg, I could have danced all night, dark side of the moon, Mahler no 5, everybody dance now (olympics version), I wanna hold your hand, 2011 Samba (TEB blue dress), Moulin Rouge and Carmen. Note: I honestly not a huge fan of their Moulin Rouge program. Doesn't have that whole Moulin Rouge guilty pleasure thing the movie has, but also If Scott wants to go all out on the anger with Tessa in the first half, he should, but he didn't. So Latch is better than Moulin Rouge, and the plotline in both the programs are the same.

And, anyone who has publicly followed Scott and Tessa , both in your countless public exhibitions in the Sport of Figure Skating that you, Scott and Tessa, contributed to being a true Art of Dance on an ice rink, and also analysing the many of your interviews, can easily conclude how In addition to the fact that as Scott says, "you were very blessed with all the coaches and other specialists who supported you", it should be added that YOU were ALSO VERY BLESSED TO HAVE FOUND EACH OTHER, from a very young age. Anyone who has been watching you can see: 1. Tessa Virtue's excellent ballerina qualities, very much in line with classical ballet. 2. A Scott Moir who masterfully accompanies Tessa in his qualities as a good Figure Skating Dancer, who manages to excellently guide his skating partner, Tessa Virtue. Scott leads Tessa with elegance and delicacy. Scott's qualities as a good dancer, characterized by the great flexibility of Scott's body, and by the way in which Scott lives intensely his performances, expressing all the emotions that the music suggests to him, doing so masterfully in a choreographic way, perfectly accompanies the qualities of excellent Tessa's ballerina. In fact, from a choreographic point of view there is perfect compatibility, and complicity , between Scott and Tessa. And, it is also clear that, in addition to both Scott and Tessa having great willpower and resilience to achieve their goals, they would have an excellent relationship between them, guided by great mutual respect, and a lot of joy in their relationship. In short, Scott appears to be an excellent person, genuine in his feelings of great affection and respect for Tessa, and the same can be said of Tessa, who , however, seems to be much more rational and calculating in her choices. Both deserve to have a good future, and best wishes for both Scott and Tessa can achieve good personal fulfillment, both on a professional level and on an emotional and family level. Everything you have learned and done so far cannot be wasted.

Tessa, I hope Jamie Salé gets to hear and see this video. Scott, being real and not an Eleanor Rigby was refreshing. Too many people hide behind fake social masks these days just following the latest trends. Like the Christian band Petra's song "Destiny" from their album "Unseen Power" says " Time is a gift on loan Fate is already known It's your destiny to make it to the end It's your destiny to go against the trend Heavenly destiny, destiny". This is why I edited and burn onto a CD the Petra song " Destiny" for you and Tessa back in 2010 and gave it to another ice dance team to pass it on to you two in London's John Labatt's Arena downtown. From the 1st time I saw you two skate at 2000 Divisionals as a volunteer practice ice captain, I could see their was something special with your skating, even though I just began to learn to skate as an adult unset skater. Keep on the path the Lord God Almighty has for you.
