I just went and happily waited in line for the Ollivanders experience. The shop keep picked a brother and sister to be his customers, and even watching, it was pure magic. He gave one wand to the brother and one to the sister, and when both failed, the music swelled, he swapped the wands, and it was so damn cool Then I went into the store and looked over the selection of wands. The ones on the stand didn’t tell us who they belonged to. I was just looking for one that was simple, straight, without too much in the way of a handle or curves. And then I saw it. Simple body, but carved with intricate runes and swirls along the body and handle. I asked the cashier for it, and he said “that’s the wand of Sirius Black. You sure you want it?” And it really was my “wand chooses the wizard” moment. Sirius is my favorite character from Harry Potter, and to be drawn to his wand among all the others...I would call it “destiny” XD All in all, if you can afford to go, I would highly recommend it

Doing this job must be so fun. I think you should just be grateful that they even took you to Universal, considering the tickets are sort of expensive. You cannot call your parents evil for that. Many of us Potterheads live abroad in countries other than the UK and the US where there are no theme parks or studio tours themed on HP. So learn to be grateful.

OMG So cool~!!! When I went to Orlando for my 11th b-day I also went to Ollivander's. After the man finished with the person that he chose we all went out. My family and I hung back a bit cause I was amazed at the shop. The man came over and because I was wearing my Gryffindor gear he asked if I had a wand. Of course I said no because I didn't. Then he did did that test thingy were you are given a wand and you test it. In the end I got my own wand and I was so happy~!!!! My mom kept on saying how "I must have been special because when she looked online no one else had done that etc..." ... mom... really? But I was so happy~!

The guy working the shop in this video really went for it, traversing several walls for each wand, rather than staying at a single wand. I saw in another video, someone else tried to mimic thr books, going as far as measuring the guy chosen! Love when they go the extra mile for it! Hope I can go to Universal Studios someday so I can get my own wand, whether through a choosing moment or just via brousing.

I was one of the lucky ones, I wore a full Slytherin uniform and everything. I got a wand that matched the description of my Pottermore wand, and had the physical appearance of Hermoine's wand. I'd say just stand out in the crowd a bit it's likely they'll pick you. Good luck!

Yes, one person gets picked. But after the show, everyone else goes into the actual shop and you can pick any wand you want.

Yes, but it's not as unlikely that you'll get picked as you might think. I've only been once, but they only bring about ten people at a time, so you have about a 1/10 chance you'll be picked, not like a 1/30

I went with my brother and sister, and I got picked. My brother wanted to get picked too, so he went in a couple more times, and the person playing Ollivander noticed that he wanted to get a wand, so he picked him. My sister did the same thing, only she got called over after everyone else in the group left. So in other words, if you don't get picked the first time, you can get picked if you try a couple more times.✨

I have a question if I took the pottermore test and I got a wand do I get that wand that I got on the test or do I get a wand that he gives me?

If you were chosen to do the wand show, they ask you your birthday, then go to the third wand before pulling out one that has the same wood as your birth month on the celtic calendar. The core may be chosen at random with a corresponding wood or it may end up as a result from various other questions, body language, and your responses. But I'm not sure about the core, I haven't actually gotten one yet. I just know they use the Celtic birth month wood calendar to pick out the wood.

Jessi Marie they might have cut it out here, but they still ask. They ask several questions before getting the wand out, one of which is when your birthday is. In the very least your birth month. Then they use the Celtic wood calendar and your answers to the other questions to pick out a wand with the wand wood that corresponds to your birth month and the core you're best suited for (even if both are fake /the wood being plastic and the core nonexistent). Another thing they do is start out with two wands completely opposite of the final wand. And it's always in threes. The first two wands cause something bad to happen in the shop whereas the third wand, the one with the right wood and core, will always glow. Not only have I seen many videos of people getting their wands, but I have also read about others experiences and heard it from my friends who went. The things most common in each is being asked your birthday, being asked a couple of seemingly random questions like what your favorite color is, and each wand being chosen on the third time around. Also, only one person per group gets chosen and the wand is given to the person at half off before everyone is brought to the main store where you get to pick out your own wands including wands from the main characters like Harry himself.

crynos inso they have character wands from both Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films then generic ones that they just call Death Eater wands. Unfortunately they don’t sell them by wood type so you can’t get your Pottermore style if that makes sense.
