I taught her to lay on her side from lay down first and kept training that untill she would roll on her side every single time I asked on voice command. Then changed the starting position to standing, repeating that several times until she would consistantly lay on her side again starting in a standing position and then moved to walking and running

If you search 'how to teach a dog footstall' on KZbin you'll probably find a usefull tutorial. I basically taught her to jump on any object I pointed at as well as I taught her to stand on my shoes laying upside down on the floor. When she got that, I combined the two and it resulted in this :)

AT LEAST 1,5 years old. Preferably older. This trick is very hard on the dog's joints and it is really important that 1) the handler has a good throw and 2) the dog has a solid jump & catch. The impact on Tess her joints was so big that I stopped doing this trick with her over a year ago.

@@olakubinska4723 There are a lot of dog training tutorials here on KZbin. Kikopup has some great tutorials and I also like McCann dog training (for puppy training). I used clicker training for the majority of Tess' tricks as it's a positive training method that works really well. As for tricktraining (especially the more complicated ones) take small steps. Think about how you will teach a dog something before you start and don't expect too much in one go.

He had a hard few years before I got him. I've taught he a few things he mostly already knew. I taught him the difference between his left paw and right. He'll do that many times a day for praise. I have another question for you as you definitely know a lot about training dogs and border collies. I have a border collie he is a year old and absolutely loves playin frisbee. It is his favourite thing he likes nothing more in the WORLD. But when we play frisbee with him we usually have two at a time as we have 2 dogs. My border collie will only catch the second frisbee thrown no matter what. Any idea why this is? And also he recently is getting worse and it being very picky with the frisbees thrown like will only catch certain throws. Almost like he’s waiting for the second frisbee to be thrown even though it’s already been the 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th frisbee thrown at him. Any ideas why he would be just letting them fly by him?
