You honestly might have the best low-tuning on a snare in the entire industry right now man..

Christian Baumgartner ah thanks - also, Acle might have the best low-tuned snare production trickery in the entire industry right now. Snare tuning is a non-stop battle for me

It certainly feels like it for myself too, I'm sure many drummers across the world can relate to that heavily so it's really cool to hear that from you. Either way though, you guys are doing an incredible job with both studio and live production, and I hope you all continue to do so as long as it brings you happiness!

@@JayTesseracT I heard he mixes it with a half full box of cereal and pitch shifts the opposing phases and gives a 1ms delay for that wet sound

I’ve watched probably 5 drum cam songs of his, and I’m realizing that it’s not nearly as impossible as it sounds. Just listening, it sounds like he’s drumming with quantum string theory. But when you actually watch it, it’s easy to see that it’s a clinic on making simplicity sound complicated. Many newer drummers try to sound technical by hitting more things, but Jay proves his technical prowess by hitting less, and making each hit mean more.

98% chance they did a multitrack recording and mixed it later but the studio magic isn't that much i guess, they're just kick ass players with nice instruments and that's basically all that matters

Tesseract has by far the best live audio quality. Saw them last year in brisbane australia. the clear heavy bass mixed with the higher frequencies were spot on, could hear every ghost note and Tom hit. I can't get over how good it was.

Nice and clean, loving it! Do you have any advice: after 15 years I have upgraded my DW 5000 to the DW 9000 twinpedals but I can't seem to get the perfect setting. For over a year now I keep tweaking and adjusting them yet nothing seems to work for me. They're either too sloppy, lacking power or they're way too tight. Do you have any tips on how to approach an ideal angle and spring tension. I did notice you place the left beater a little closer to the head than the right - how does that affect the feel? Thanks and keep up the great drumming! I love your grooves, and how they make the songs pop and breathe

Brilliant drumming. He's off the beat at times and just holds some of those notes back perfectly. Ghost notes are so tasty you could die. I hear many drummers here - Garstka, Donati, Carey, Peart. Add Portnoy to that mix.
