I've gone through a lot of air purifiers (I rescue animals) and the 3 best ones all have the ionizer. If I turn the ionizer setting off, there's a noticeable difference within a few hours. So very interesting but I'm not surprised.

Is it ok to just test it in a glass? I mean when you use it for real, the area you need to be protected from is a lot larger and the smoke wont be as controlled like in a glass.

Test it in the glass as a demonstration to see how the air ionizer can drop the concentrated smoke away. As you said in a larger area, smoke won't be as concentrated also the air current or ventilation around the area already lessen the some of the smoke. And if there is a guy keep blowing smoke direct to your face. Punch him instead.

The job of an air ionizer is to release NEGATIVELY charged particles that are then attracted and bond to the positively charged particles in the room. When the ionized particles bond to the airborne particles, the joint union is then too heavy to float in the air and they fall to the ground. Once they’re no longer airborne, these particles can be vacuumed up, or dusted off of furniture and raised surfaces. Ionizers and electrostatic precipitators are devices that emit ozone as a by-product of their design and function. Ozone is released through the charging process. In the US, they have a limit of 0.05 parts per million (PPM) in devices like these. If the product does not have a PPM specification in the rating, it cannot be trusted. Most of the ionizers sold here in the Philippines does not have any PPM specifications at all because our government does not require them to.

It's useless to use it in an open space, actually it could be worse since it's pulling polluted air toward you, chances are you will inhale the the polluted air before the machine able to purify it lol. If my HEPA air purifier with 400 CFM is useless in an open space, this one is definitely useless too.

Imagine the smoke is infected the air inside the room, the room is represented by the glass.. now if you are inside the room with contaminated air, considering the air purifier is dangling in you neck and not even nowhere near your nose or mouth... and considering the time it takes to clean the air inside a small space, how effective do you think it is on a wide open space... this is just clearly a great way to waste money!

If you see smokes like that in the wide open space , Dude, you start running. Can't you see the smoke is concentrated. This is to show how fast the ionizer can clean out the concentrated unclean air in a confined area. In the open space the unclean air is less concentrated like the smoke. You keep the necklace around your neck. And ion shoots up to clean the air around you face area. Also there is not can protect you from Covid 19, its just help reduce the chances to getting it, Got it ?

@@agailair1658 In wide open space, air is moving in different speed, it can be slow or fast, in these case it may or may not contain virus or whatever it is that you don't want to inhale, in a stagnant air and the wearer is not moving, your necklace may work, fair enough, but how many percentage of that chances you are referring to that anyone wearing your necklace can avoid such contaminated air, as you mention that the necklace shoots ion, but how does it hold up to a moving contaminated air around the person who wears your necklace compared to wearing a cheap face mask?.

@@rdg585 I do get your point on this, but the thing is, the connotation of the video of this device is like it can protect you from any harmful chemical or virus in the air that surrounds you which I believe is very dangerous to those who will purchase one who believe as such. as potential for innovation , yes I agree, this device has a lot of potential but not as a pendant type of device, I did not advise to shut down the manufacturer of this device, but rather perhaps make some changes on the design to make it less ineffective. An Ionizer works by electrostatically charge negative ions internally and disperse them into the air. Like a magnet, the released negative ions will merge with positive ions particle in a room. This includes dust mites, mold, pollen, pet dander, bacteria, and viruses. The bonded ions will fall to the ground due to the increased weight leaving the air free from any contaminants.
