They always say you never know it till you feel it and I'm telling you I'm feeling it for this 72 Chevelle. The motor, the paint, the roll cage, the rims, the fiberglass front end, the power glide, yep it's happened im in love with this car. If only dreams could come true, i would have that in my parking spot with the biggest smile on my face. Beautiful car guys, it's a one of a kind beauty i hope a dreamer like me gets to have her, she deserves a good home. Thanks for saving her , maybe one day, for now I'll keep dreaming

Hey Nick and the crew at Maple Motors happy to see that 72 Chevelle with the Motown motor back on the lot. It would be really Kool if you guys did buy here pay here loans for your cars for people who have enough money to make a 350 - 500 dollar a month payment but don't have the credit score or history to get financed. Honestly that's the only way me or those out there like me would be able to make the dream of owning a Maple Motors hot rod or classic. I get it I'm sure there's plenty of reasons not to do it but you know somebodys got to be the first to do something amazing to make owning a Maple Motors classic a reality for regular people. Anyway just a thought I'll keep dreaming if you guys keep saving these beautiful classics. Have a good one

A 434 is probably the nastiest SBC you can get. Most of them you see as crate engines are almost always strictly racing engines, I found one that was 10.5:1 and is rated at 600 to the crank. With the right driver and tire this will no doubt run 10's in the 1/4...or better.

Those afr heads are no joke! 227cc intake runners on an afr head is nearly enough airflow to create tornadoes across the midwest! 😆

Beautiful Car. Its a race car. Why some stuff does not work. Does not need to for racing. Its a street worthy car as it does not run hot. Those little holes in the bumpers you pointed out were for the bumper jack we had back then. That car will be lots of fun someone. 😆

That thing is the epitome of a "street/strip" car...I bet that cam is a solid roller well into the .600" lift range, with a 8" converter, 4:56 gears and a spool.

When you left the lot you left in 2nd gear, it didn't shift or I didn't hear it. A lot of trans brake transmissions you have to push the button to get it to pull in reverse, then it's probably a manual valve body. Sounds like about a 3500-4000 converter at least. That car is probably good for 6.80s 1/8th mile.

It's basically a drag car. Most drag racers don't use a air filter. I used to do the same thing until I found out that I could eventually damage my engine. I'm glad that I made the right decision.
