Use to work at the GM plant in Fremont, CA. I got to watch them run down the passenger line back in the late 70s early 80s, price back then was starting at 10 thousand. I had a beige 79 V6 and an 86 V8 black/silver with a white camper shell, beautiful cars. Just throw your bicycle in the back and go anywhere. Thanks for the memories.

Definitely piston oil rings . Valve seals will only smoke on startup or take off at red lights. Mostly the cause of this smoking is the prior owner must have added some sort of oil treatment in the oil which may cause one or two piston rings to stick .

Looks like either valve guides or possibly week oil rings on the pistons. Good looking Elco that needs electrical glitches worked out.

I like the new black chrome on this car and the paint to Match is sweet. For I like the wheels, but not low profile. For the engine may need a rebuild, but she is priced for that and some things need to take care of, but a nice old EL overall.

$12.9k. Nothing screams working middle-class than an El Camino. If you're a craftsman, tradesman, landscaper, gardener, etc. this vehicle was made for you. It's a relatively low-cost vehicle and it's already pre-dinged so you don't have to worry about adding some new ones.
