I’ve had my 85 since I was 14, now almost 39 and it’s been wrecked 2x while parked 😂😂 3rd restoration hopefully in 25. Had it 25 years so it’s fitting.

Those are great looking cars. That's the way to go by putting a 400 under the hood. Because they were way underpowered from the factory with that enemic 305.

My first car was an 85 Monte Carlo. Paid 250 bucks for it in 97. Not an as or even a v8. Had the 4.3 but it was a tank and I was only 15. I’ve owned 3 since then, but still no SS. Hopefully I will one day

Not a bad price, these things have been going up in price. A beat up stock one is 8k to 10k up here in Northeast. Seeing nice ones going for 20k. Obviously someone put some $$ into that motor . aluminum heads, rad and fans , pulleys etc. Why do they always leave that torque converter cover off though lol.. and you shoulda kept going straight and ran that Nissan Nick

Every time now that I see a SS Monte from that era, I can’t believe how disproportionately long the hood / nose look. Still pretty cool cars, but when I was in HS, that trait didn’t seem so exaggerated. JS

Nice ride, but definitely needs some money dumped into it, but what second hand car from that era doesn't need some sort of work to it, love the gauge set up on it, sorry never been a weld wheels fan, but looks ok on that car, nothing a good $20,000 to bring back to where I would want it

Sorry guys! But I'm just not a big fan of anything from the 80's.. Yes the SS Monte Carlo was kinda cool and the Grand National was really cool but other than that I'd stick to pickups.! They're great, even the Toyota's with that R22 engine. Personally I've had 2 and also an 87 Silverado that I loved.! But for me if it isn't a '73' model vehicle or older, I'm not interested.! Not a true classic in my book, but I am 61 lol...
