Nothing wrong with this car, if you want a finished hot rod this is a good thing, no way to build one cheaper, it's not a hacked up build up, paint and body looks good, the interior looks brand new, no cracks on the dashboard. Definitely the car you want to take the mother in law for a ride 😉👍

Someone poured a lot of dollars into speed parts on that one. Mini-tubbed, coil-overs, aftermarket diff, fuel cooler, etc. To require a roll cage means it ran some really quick times once upon a time but maybe not with the same motor it has now.

Rule book don't say nothing about how far the forward hoops have to go, only that they follow the roof and A-pillar then down to the floor, they can go before or after the dash. Not to mention you don't need certs until you're quicker than 9.99 and that thing ain't running but high 10s at best.

Always like the Grand national I remember when they first came out they had the Grand national the Oldsmobile 442 with the lightning rod shifters and the Monte Carlo SS and the Grand Nationals definitely the fastest they can run the high 13s I believe from the factory

I believe that's either an oil cooler under there, or possibly a trans cooler??, and the box on the dash is a tach box. What a beautiful build!

@@ct87gn25 this car has an '87 grill. Unless it has an '87 grill and the rest of it is '86, I'd say it's an '87. I owned an '87 WE4 that I ordered from the dealer. Mine was probably a late 1500 number because it was at the right at the cutoff for ordering.

@@ct87gn25 Nick could be wrong about this being an '86. Just sayin'. I ordered my WE4 El Stripo with the only option being a WE4, because I was planning on racing it. It has crank windows, to which I see this gem here has. Most GNs were also loaded. I've never seen many of these Regals with crank windows. My car, I believe, is only on its third owner who seems to have had it now for 9 years. It's licenced in Illinois. I'd love to get ahold of the owner just to chat and see how the car is doing. The guy I sold it to in '92 (regrettably) had it for many years and took good care of it before he passed it on. I wish now that I never sold it.

No, not the ones who pole dance, but one that was ordered by the CT state police. We had about a dozen here and a couple Grand Nationals that they used for "speed enforcement". Mine was dark garnet red, red interior, and the only options were tilt wheel, remote passenger mirror, rear window defroster, and a G80 posi rear. athe car weighed around 3250lbs at three different tracks I attended. It ran a bunch of 14.0's bone stock. My current hardtop GN I bought 20 years ago has 78 options. She's a keeper for sure......

That’s how these cars were made. Single all the way back and split into 2 tailpipes. A lot of aftermarket systems kept it single with larger diameter pipe.
