How did you accelerate that quickly in the 70 chevelle at the start? I have been playing this game since it came out for over 10 years and the chevelle is very slow on accereration. I raced thousands of races in the chevelle against xj220 and I never beat him off the start.

Poor texture mapping I think, quite a few of the cars in the game had some sort of graphical error. When I played today, the Cerbera was missing a polygon on the left of the rear window and you could see the road through it!

In the world of PCs, already with a powerful Electronic Arts and in its second (third) version of Need for Speed, it was amazing the work of the Pitbull Sindicate and even recognized with prize in 1997 of better game of race. Simply a throw (with version 3dfx included), which like Star Wars Racer, requires training and skills and with sensational (although few) clues.
