The console beta is an old build, the newer build was shown by alexvii and much of it is improved, such as smoke effects, handling, visuals, etc. People will say it's nothing like tdu, but that's straight up wrong. Tdusc brought back clubs, frim, instant challenges, wrecks, car functions, etc.

Test Drive Off Road Wide Open for the original xbox was my first test drive game. I remember opening it and my xbox on Christmas and played all night with amazement. For example Horizon 4 and 5 look stunning and can run on low hardware while looking amazing and have a nice frame rate. Back then in 2011 720p with constant 60fps was basically a 4k today so no excuses really. They had to work with 512mb of video ram/system ram since it's shared while today's consoles have 16GB! It's easy to research all these things. We know that better is possible but today's devs just don't have the proper knowledge ,time and many other factors that the companies put on them.....

To be honest, I don't know what's in favour of this game at the moment. I'm also an old fan of the Test Drive series. I don't know. Practically all the features that make Test Drive for me will be added at some point in the future (or maybe only some of them). You should always be careful with promises made by developers.

Don't know if I go for this one but I loved the 1st one the most! After the release the bikes came 2 years later or so. Loved the whole vibe, I believe it was miami, the 'drag strip' everyone was on. The online community, all remindes me of these great times. The 2nd was more of a Ibiza vibe I believe, it wasn't really about racing and getting the best. It was the roadtrip to become a (multi) millionaire. Having 6 hypercars in your garage. The big dream houses with pools etc. Everyone was going for the veyron or the Hennessey I believe, these were the fastest. Reminds me of the better times of gaming actually.. Nowadays the old generation players are on the more niche games. Will see what happens with this one.. if the casino is not in there I won't even look at it😂
