Bruh, in the release trailer they have dates announced which I can only think are update's milestones. One said Sep. 8th 2025 (my birthday funny enough). I think they are going to commemorate TDU2 in that update by giving us the Ibiza DLC you're mentioning.

This isn't happening, there's no way. Ibiza is like ten times the size of HKI which is weird when it's a DLC, it would make more sense to just have the regular island be a bigger one than HKI and then a smaller island as dlc imo. It's also strange that they'd hint towards a DLC long before the game has even launched. I think this is all just a little Easter Egg for old TDU fans and a way to make us look closer at all of the details.

@@titato Yes, but that was over 10 years ago. Times have changed and people want more detailed maps. It would take an extraordinarily long time to make a 1:1 Ibiza with modern standards.

If i hadn't playtested the game a couple times i would start to think this game isn't even real and lacks direction and focus. You got to remember that TDU2 started in Ibiza and suddenly there was this hawaiian island twice the size as the first one for you to explore. Considering the size of Hong Kong island, I really hope they give us more. That map is going to get real small, real quick.

The timer which was or is set into the newest "Release Date Trailer" is probably saying that We, Fans, will get TDUSC support until April 2028 and I'm pretty sure that there is a lot more coming. Ibiza what You found out into the trailer, could actually be true - I also have noticed that message on Discord where was standing that We could miss something into the trailer!-o I can also imagine that We could get Hawaii back into TDUSC and I don't think We get everything at once - everything takes time it needs. I'm looking forward to the time after release as well! Alex... No. They had no assets from TDU2. So why begin from scratch to do it again at 1:1. It was awful for cruising around as you had to keep returning from the coast to the Inland highways instead of lapping the coast like Oahu. At best maybe we get a story cutscene. I agree their map building developers need a new project but I'd much rather something new. Like Tenerife.

This may be just an Easter egg, might be a look at future DLC (how cool would Ibiza and Oahu be??). And while I don't have a PS5, I bought a PS3 just so I could play TDU2 again. So it looks like I'm getting a PS5 just to play Solar Crown, because this looks great to me.

Since "Crew Motorsport" have the Hawaii as their main map, I think KT and Nacon can't use it again. As you mention (about Ibiza map) would be very cool (from their side) to release a completed version of Ibiza, from the time that they have already a base version from TDU2. This is my opinion :D

They could come out with Ibiza and possibly Oahu later on as a major expansions, similar to how Forza Horizon brings out two new DLC maps with each new game. It would take them a lot of time to develop a freshly remastered map (note how the developers said, back when they revealed Hong Kong, how they would need to start from scratch)...but they did say they plan on keeping TDUSC running for at least 5 years, which should be enough for at least Ibiza :) TDUSC has a lot of potential for DLC...think: cars, clothing, houses...adding in a new island is definitely not beyond the character of this "lifestyle" game 😁

Honestly... With the scale of KT, and how long it took to just make Hong Kong Island... I think it's just a clever easter egg as a nod to the earlier games. Otherwise, if it will actually be a dlc "event" it probably will just be a set of races on Ibiza, and maybe have an explorable town. This fame doesn't even have houses yet, which I know is coming. But they will probably have their hands full for a LONG time. And I'm sure it will depend on how successful TDUSC is first before Nacon approves any further content development.
