What a great little atv. I got injuried some years back. I can no longer go hunting, fishing, hiking, or just enjoying the great outdoors. Although the ACE can't give me back what I've lost. At least it could get me back outdoors again. Something that I truly miss.

I bought the 570 three weeks ago and I've beat it, jumped it, rolled it (on purpose), over loaded it, and dragged 50' trees out of the woods with it. Nothing broke and just some scratched paint is all. The Ace is gonna earn every penny I spent on it.

How easy did it roll over. I'm thinking about buying a 570, but was thinking that in corners you can shift your body weight like you can on a sportsman 570, this making this ride tippy???

I really like it for what it is! Obviously over time I think we will see it progress as long as sales are decent. Bigger motor, dual a-arm, better suspension, basically mold it into whatever a customer could want. Thats the Polaris way of doing things!!

I just bought an Ace 570, traded in my BMW that had become uncomfortable to ride due to some poorly placed scar tissue. Ease of getting in and out were the selling points. Might not work for everyone but works for me and they seem to be selling well.

I like it! More suspension travel and bigger engine would make it a lot better tho!
@Driftuner
@Driftuner 10 жыл бұрын
that rather kills the point of it doesnt it? bigger engine and more suspension travel would make it bigger and larger...making it any bigger then it already is, makes it as big as a razor, which has a bigger engine and seats for 2...so if they made that, people would wonder why getting this istead a razor! and the Ace would be pointless...or do you really think that such a brand as Polaris didnt know that everyone would say what u did?! they are not stupid, they know what they do..
@braedencorwin416

First of all relax its my opinion and I think a one person vehicle with all the power of a rzr and suspension of a rzr would be perfect. I would rather ride by myself then have a passenger there for whats the purpose of a 2 seated rzr to me?
@Driftuner
@Driftuner 10 жыл бұрын
i am relaxed, i was just stating the obvious...the purpose? well, versatility for a start..it doesnt really matter if you ride alone or not (i also rather ride alone), i just believe that if the thing is already large enough for 2, then why not? its not like you are "loosing" anything with an extra seat there..its more like, for that situation that you didnt expect, where for example you are ridding around in your 2 seater and then hey! look! that girls polaris has broken down! get in girl i got your back) see, now you automatically agree with me XD just kidding.. ;)

I have one and it's great for first time, young or novice ATV riders because it's not so fast that they are going to get in trouble to fast to handle it. My son just turned thirteen and is a good rider (has safety Cert too), but I wanted a vehicle that he could drive safely on the DNR trails. I was worried about others hitting him more than him hitting them. The ACE fits the Bill. I'm actually glad the 325 came out first and I got it because novice riders don't need a lot of power and it will go 50 mph, however, it takes a long time and a smooth and wide trail to go that fast. The ACE is fast enough 95 % of the time on the trails here in MI. I'm 6'4" 255 lbs. and I fit in it fine and it will take me to fifty on a dirt road.

If sales continue to stay strong over the next few seasons, I think it won't be long before the other manufacturers hop aboard the niche-market train to get their slice of the market pie. I think having a roll cage, seat-belt, a much lower overall CoG, a more familiar automotive style steering system are all wins for the safety conscious buyer, or rider with youths, women, and folks that have mobility issues. Add in the relatively less expensive investment price, and a smaller trail footprint as opposed to full-size SxSs, and you see these are all wins for Polaris, I am saying that and I am a Yamaha brand loyalist. It'll be interesting to see how the other players respond, if at all. I still don't know why Yamaha has NOT put their 500cc twin Phazer 4-stroke snowmobile motor in a ATV or UTV chassis. Its a very compact 500cc, and makes 80hp, and can be turbo'd to well over 140hp safely. Oh well I can dream.

+DaShawn Sturdivant I think Can-Am would be most likely to copy the Ace. Yamaha making something like this would be great but they have yet to hint at even a 50" utv. Can-Am could simply put the Outlander 450(base), 570(mid price) and 1000(full on performance) to compete with Polaris.
@dashawnsturdivant9346

Greg Rowe Very true, Greg. Yamaha and Honda, have always been the ones to rather fall behind and perfect what's already there, instead of keeping up with trends, hell, they just now came out with a true sport SxS this year and they are the ones that sparked the whole sport UTV/SxS craze in 2004 with the birth of the Rhino. I think you are right though Can-Am idea would bring some serious competition for Polaris.

I second that about putting a 400cc 2-Stroke in an ACE I'd buy one for sure my old 1999 Polaris 400 Scrambler is still running never rebuilt but I did add a Boysen RAD valve cage and reeds and AAEN pipe but everything else is stock and it kicks my buddies Scrambler 500s ass all day long! And I'm still running the factory oil injector that everyone keeps saying not to!? Hell make the ACE even better make a deal with BRP/Evinrude and put an E-Tec injected 2-Cycle in it that would kick everythings ass!

So that has the same ProStar engine that my 2015 Sportsman ETX has in it? I thought they came with a 570??? I like my ETX but it pales in comparison to my 2015 Sportsman 570 EPS as far as power is concerned. I crawled in one at my Polaris dealer and I am not sure what to think. I did not drive it. Too much difference in money compared to a regular Sportsman as far as I am concerned.

I wouldn't go that far, lol. The price will keep most people from buying it. $7500 for this thing is way too much for what it is. How rich does Polaris think the average customer is? If I were to buy something for someone else to ride(wife or kids) I'm not spending anywhere near that much money. They're probably getting a used 250 trailblazer for about $1000 and be happy they have that. That's a cheap beginner's quad that anyone can ride.

I think the EPA has pretty much outlawed 2-strokes in atvs and dirtbikes since about 2006. So that will never happen. The 570 engine would be nice but that would push the price up even further.

I owned a 400 scrambler once. Very fast and peppy but lasted about 3 months before it threw a rod and destroyed the engine. It had been rebuilt fairly recently but they used cheap parts and they didn't last. I'll never own another 2 stroke again, I just don't trust them. Sold it for parts because a new engine cost more than it was worth. I went back to buying used Hondas instead, no more used Polaris either. Polaris ruined the Scrambler by giving it irs and making it almost as heavy as the Sportsman. If they came back with a shaft drive, solid rear axle Scrambler with the 570 engine in it, I think they would hit a home run but they will never do it. Put a small rear rack on it and a small lockable box on the front and of course the on-demand 4x4. Keep the weight around the weight the 500 was(about 550 lbs dry weight) instead of over 700 lbs like the new 850 Scrambler. Would make it a very unique machine that would be a serious threat to the 500 Renegade.

Chuck U Farlie Yes I know. What I mean was Can Am makes an atv (four wheeler) with 80hp. Would haven been nice if the fine people at Polaris put a powerplant with more hp in it than a lawn mower. Im sure they have their reasons (or excuses) but I think it would be much more popular with "guys that have it all" if it had more hp. I still love the company and am saving up for a rzr but I hope they come out with a "pro" or "extreme" version with more hp before the Ace goes extinct.

Neat idea, just too expensive. That's the only real gripe I have about this machine. Not enough bang for the buck. Unless you're rich, you're not going to buy this for a 2nd machine for your wife or kids. You're buying them a used 330 Trailboss for about 2K. That's a beginners atv and one that people can afford and be comfortable about the size and power as an inexperienced rider. A 250 Trailblazer is another good choice and is even cheaper(that was my first atv). This thing is priced the same as an 800 Sportsman(7500 retail). Price it about the same as a 400 Sportsman(about 5000-5500 retail) and Polaris will sell tons of them.
@gregrowe1168
@gregrowe1168 8 жыл бұрын
+Greg Rowe Well, Polaris must have read what I posted as the original Ace is now priced at $4999 locally, right at what I said it should cost. And they are selling a ton of them. Add $1500 and you can upgrade to the non-eps Ace 570. The Ace 900 is still priced a bit out of reach but for those who don't care about price, its still at least available as an option.

$8000 is a ton of money for a toy, not to mention saying its intended for a 2nd ride for your kids or wife, implying you spent even more for your own toy. I suppose if you compare it to the price of a Rzr its cheaper but it costs the same price as an 800 Sportsman which has a lot more power. No ability to carry a 2nd person and performance basically equal to a 300cc atv that costs about half the price. Overpriced and overhyped. I'm not saying its a horrible machine but for that amount of money, I'd expect more power, such as the 570 Sportsman engine. That little 327cc engine will be worked pretty hard in this heavy machine. Its 835 lbs dry weight, heavier than an 800 Sportsman as well by almost 100 lbs and an 800 Sportsman is a very heavy machine in its own right but has enough power to still feel peppy. I'm sure as I type there is an aftermarket clutch kit being designed for the Ace, which would help a lot to get what power it does have to the ground. This new engine may make its way into a new entry level 2x4 utility atv, that would be a much more appropriate application. Something to compete against the Suzuki Ozark, Honda Recon, Brute Force 300 and Grizzly 300. Polaris has basically ignored this very important customer for several years. It could be class leader in performance in this class.
