No track cleaning, lighting in passenger cars stay lit through switches, wiring solved, reverse loops a thing of the past, prototypical, potentially less expensive. Locomotives and rolling stock should come prepared like this out of the box. Pull into the roundhouse to spend an hour or so on the charging track? Charge through the wheels? I'd even be okay with occasional battery fire.

How long is the run time on that style battery?

I have not run it down all the way yet, so I can't say with 100% accuracy, but Trevor told me his goes for a good 3-4 hours before he has to charge it again.
